The Space:
Master sculptor Dustin Weatherby, lead artist at Raven's Retreat Hocking Hills, brings 25 years of experience to every space on the property. Known for his work on the History Channel, Disney+, and at major public events, Dustin creates both live sculpture performances and permanent art installations-many of which can be found throughout the retreat and along the wellness trail.

This 4000 square foot Art Lodge is just an hour from Columbus, Ohio and only a few minutes from the local Hocking Hills town, Laurelville. So, you can get groceries, gas, supplies, buy local cider, and visit 6 family-owned restaurants less than a 5-minute drive away. Located on a 58-acre nature preserve, the Art lodge took 5 years to design and create.

We are unable to accommodate domestic animal friends/pets. Domestic animals have killed our wildlife living within our nature preserve many times in the past. You may see our senior dog Peanut somewhere around the property during your stay. Peanut is a 15 year old-25 pound dog. He is very friendly with humans but he does not do well with other domestic animals. This is the 2nd reason why we do not allow domestic animals on the property.


For art enthusiasts, the Sculpt Decor Shop, run by master sculptor Dustin Weatherby, is on the 58-acres closest to the Art Lodge located at the bottom of the driveway. Dustin specializes in animatronics, steel sculptures, wood carvings, mixed media sculptures. Starting in 2025, he will offer live art performances and experience packages for guests. Feel free to stop by the shop and say hello. The host's home is on the same 58-acre property. Although you cannot see their home from the Art Lodge or Tiny Bungalows, they are often nearby to assist you if you need them.

As hosts, two artists, and life partners, it took us over 5 years to build our Unique Art Lodge and Tiny bungalows on our nature preserve with the intention of providing a one of a kind experience. This experience is like sleeping in an art museum while in the middle of a forest with eco-luxe amenities. We designed the immersive nature retreat experience and symbolism seen in our custom art installations to build connection, inspire wellness, and generate creativity! If you embrace that fact that nature, wellness, and creativity is all connected, this retreat space is for you.

Security:
There are three outdoor cameras at the Unique Art Lodge. One of them is pointed towards the front door. The other two outdoor cameras are pointed towards the gravel parking areas.

Guest Access:
Must be 25 years or older to rent this property. The guest on the reservation must be present at check-in with a photo ID which matches address and credit card used. The booking guest must be present during the complete stay.

Guests have access to hiking our trails along with the functional fitness stations and meditation areas throughout our 58-acre nature preserve. We do not allow fishing, swimming, or hunting on the property. While you are here, we want you to feel completely welcomed and free to explore around the property while doing your best to leave the smallest footprint possible. Whippoorwill birds lay eggs on the ground, here, without a nest so please watch your step. It is important to stick to traveling on trails when hiking throughout the forest. Please, always practice leave no trace ethics on the preserve.
