I booked twice after a very delayed flight. My first day was for a wk & I had to change rooms due to a faulty wire burning & as it happened, my daughter found a baby scorpion. That was not a pleasant experience & made us uneasy. However!! The hotel staff came & sprayed immediately before we entered the new rm. They really handled it with care & we are in a desert in spring for goodness sakes so it’s understandable. Our 2nd rm was amazing! Staff was amazing & checked in on us by text so it wasn’t invasive. 1 staff member in marketplace was completely rude. She worked the evening of 4/5. Older woman. She didn’t know how to make Starbucks drinks so she made it wrong. We politely let her know we didn’t like bringing drinks back, etc. trying to make it a light situation & as I was speaking she walked away. Said she followed the card. We’ve had the same drink everywhere so we knew it was off. People w/anxiety around stuff like that should not be handled like that. I also shouldn’t have to explain to her that it’s a vacation luxury to get Starbucks for my kids. She was really awful. Our second stay was in another amazing rm. When I called to ask for an early check-in, they obliged and let me know. I can come in now that they would have the room clean for me. The hotel staff is absolutely on point! The pool is clean. The towels are always stacked.the marketplace is so convenient. Taco trucks in parking lot. Beautiful lighting at night. Stuff to do on property. No problem w/doordash.

The property I s breath taking. Its soo nice when you forst pull in. I love the fact that it has security to even get in so its secured. When I checked in I spoke with a very sweet nice lady. I don't remember her name but she seems as though she was newer than the others because if ahe didn't have an answer she asked her colleagues but overall wonderful customer service. The guy who told us where the room was and food places nearby was super friendly as well. When we opened the door to the room it was beautiful 😍. It was nice and clean and the decor was a plus. We had everything we needed. The 2 night stay felt like paradise. This is my new staycation spot. Ps. They do have a $200 deposit outside of the cost of the room however, It was back in my account 48 hours after checking out.

Westgate Flamingo Resort Las Vegas stay
Registration people were not the friendliest, not bad, but could’ve provided a warmer reception, rather than a matter of fact one. When you turned the TV on in the master bedroom, the volume immediately started off at maximum, caused the whole building to vibrate; engineering person who tried to fix it couldn’t, he said a lot of them in the complex are like that. The remote was very complicated to operate; had to select TV then the on switch, after bringing volume down from 100 to about 15 (a full 30 second maneuver), you then had to select cable to get to the stations, but finding & selecting a station in the guide program was not easy, very cumbersome. So we chose not to watch that TV at all. The toilet paper holder was broken, kept falling off the holder, but the handyman was able to fix that. We spilled some water on the floor, wiped it up with paper towels; the paper towels were black with dirt.😖 The flooring was a dark color, so looked clean, but it was anything but clean. Overall appearance, furnishings, grounds, appearance was very nice; has a fairly upscale flavor to it. The price was very attractive, so overall a very good value. A comfortable one bedroom condo unit with full kitchen (lots of space) for a lower price than a hotel room on the strip, but a 10-15 minute drive to the strip. But they do have a shuttle bus to Westgate Casino on the strip. 5-star comfort, 4-star looks, 3-star service & cleanliness = 3.5-stars overall.

This property is situated in an ideal location for guests who don’t want to be too near the strip but still have access to the strip. They have a regular bus shuttle that will take you to The Strip, casinos, Fremont and Walmart. There are fast food restaurants within walking distance and 2 amazing restaurants we ate from Blueberry Hill and Nora’s Italian Now with that said, this location desperately needs renovation and appliance upgrades. Our Saturday checkin was smooth. We were directed to the villa only to discover that the villa which had a portable ac unit right next to the bed. We immediately returned to guest services and everyone acted oblivious to the fact that a noisy portable unit was cooling down the bedroom. They tried to tell us that they didn’t have anymore 1 bedroom villas as they were completely booked. They suggested we sleep in it for the night then return in the morning to see if a villa becomes available. I responded absolutely not and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa with a washer and dryer. The washer needs the springs changed as it bangs as soon as it starts. The dishwasher had stagnant water in it. So we never used it. I was there for 6 days but house keeping never came. I am not sure if this is the norm or not. I’ve visited the Orlando Westgate property and I must say this one can be just as nice with a few minor repairs and upgrades.
