  • The best hike if you like waterfalls, to be precise there are 22 of them. To see them all you will have to hike for about 7 miles. Dog friendly. I highly recommend you won't regret it! The hike is not very difficult, with accessional hikes up and down, but it is long considering that you will stop to admire and take pictures at most of the waterfalls. Bring lunch, snack and water if you planning to see all 22 waterfalls.

Perfect for 80th birthday celebration

The lodge is designed for living on multiple levels with several bedrooms and different bed configurations. This allowed us to sleep 15 (children and adults) in ways that suited everyone's needs. The one bedroom listed with two bunk beds actually has one bunk bed (and double) but we were able to make do with a blow up mattress. The kitchen was fairly well supplied with anything one would need for cooking. A second frig in the basement was useful. There is little soundproofing, but it is a lodge, after all. The home is located on a hill with several decks (one with two grills), ample yard space and a lovely view. There is not much to do in the local area, but the remoteness is what makes the home so special. Hiking and golf are 30-45 minutes away, for instance The roads that run parallel and perpendicular to the property carry some truck and car noise, but we weren't bothered by it. The large indoor pool with diving board and the hot tub were show stoppers. The kids (ages 6-16) spent most of their time swimming and having fun in the water. A ton of pool toys are available and provided endless hours of entertainment. The kids barely left the water to eat a meal! Even the adults participated in the fun. There is also ping pong, foosball, pool and several TVs, although very little time was spent watching TV or using phones! A retro Pac Man arcade game was a hit with young and old alike. A game table is perfect for cards or extra eating space. Everyone is talking about returning.

Family Fun!

Our extended family celebrated grandpa’s 70th birthday with a group of 12 ages 3 to 70. We all had a great time! The house was perfect with room for everyone. The indoor pool and hot tub were ready for us when we got there. They were a huge hit. There are plenty of pool toys available. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need for a large group. We brought precooked dinners with us. There are also two gas grills outside. The house is in a remote location, but there is an IGA 10 miles away plus a 24 hour convenience store. The beds were very comfortable. You need to bring your own towels for the pool. If you want a house that keeps the kids occupied and having a great time, book this! You will not be disappointed!

great bday celebration

went to celebrate my 9 year old who is a swim enthusiast. With the weather it was perfect to not have to worry about going out. Everything we needed was inside. We all enjoyed ourselves!!

Mountain retreat

The view was spectacular. Alot of wildlife. Great time in the pool. We were there during the Canadian wild fires and had to stay inside two days. But the other days were good.

Perfect Family Getaway

The listing for this property was spot on! Everything was as described! We spent three days here reconnecting as a family. We had ages 8 months to 72 years old and everything in between and there was something for everyone! Plenty of space and lots to do! The communication with George both before and during our stay was wonderful. We hope to stay here again in the winter! Thanks for renting out this beautiful home!!

Family gathering

This was such an awesome time away from the city to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends and family. The property was beautiful and the property manager George was very responsive. I had issues with the BBQ Grill on the property and within two hours a brand new Grill was delivered. Looking forward to booking again in the coming months.

Incredible vacation rental

This property was incredible. Description s online do not do it justice. Our family had an amazing vacation at this rental. So very much to do for adults and kids alike! The indoor pool and hot tub were amazing . We traveled 4 1/2 hours from Long Island and it was certainly worth the trip.George, the host , was so very accommodating- and would respond to questions within 20 minutes. We look forward to hopefully returning in the fall.

A Warm Stay in Snowy PA!

What an incredible experience!! The house was beautiful and clean and spacious! The pool area was gorgeous, and so well maintained. The games (pool, foosball, air hockey and ping pong) were in great condition, and incredibly entertaining. The house had games, tvs, gorgeous views, and SLEDS! What an amazing vacation. George was very easy to get in touch with, and very quick to respond! Hopefully, we can come back again!

Best Family Vacation

Oh my gosh! Where do one start? We decided to take my children & grandkids away for Christmas. This is our first time staying in a log cabin and it was wonderful experience. As we drove up, the house stood picturesque. Inside is very spacious with 6 bedrooms that comfortable held the 16 of us. Beds were comfy. The house was very clean. The game room is a hit for all ages with a foosball table, pool table, a tv & bar area. The biggest showstopper of them all was the magnificent indoor POOL! We spent most of our time enjoying the pool and the large spa. Lots of pool toys and swim vests for the kids. We paid extra for pool heat. The deck was spacious with a separate area with a ping-pong table. Don’t forget to bring your pool towels or Walmart is a 35-40 minute drive away. Lots of land space for the kids to play & tire themselves out. We bought logs for the fire pit to make s’mores but it rained on our last day. The cabin is warm. You are instructed to keep the thermostats no higher than 68 but after our first night, the house was warm so we kept it down at 60 degrees . The kitchen had everything you needed. Loved the spiral staircases. George was very receptive & answered all our questions. We had a lovely Christmas vacation & will be booking with George in the near future!

Relaxing getaway!

What really sold us on this home is the pool room! It was great to have both the heated pool and hot tub in a warm space to relax and stretch/yoga, especially in the cold winter months. We also enjoyed the open layout kitchen/dining/living room spaces with the added bonus of an indoor fireplace. Will definitely be back to visit again:)
