Our gîte Figuier for 6 is located on the west side in our beautiful large farmhouse from the beginning of the century. The name is a bit difficult to pronounce but it is named after the figuier, the big fig tree that stands nearby.

With all the fine amenities, a living area of 95 m2 and a large wooden terrace of 40 m2, it is a fine and comfortable holiday home.

The gîte is made with natural materials such as wood, inserted stone walls, cast iron and brocante details. And if you look closely with a touch of Art Nouveau. Thanks to the high ceiling and loft, the gîte gives you a lovely spacious feeling. The wooden floor makes the room warm and cosy.

The kitchen is equipped in such a way that you can enjoy cooking even during your holiday if you feel like it: large fridge with water dispenser and large freezer, extra wide 5-burner gas cooker with oven, dishwasher, all kitchen utensils and lots of crockery for entertaining. The coffee maker, kettle and toaster look a bit retro, but they are not from the brocante hear!In the living room you will find cosy sitting area with two lazy sofas and a large wooden dining table with 6 fine leather chairs.

In the spacious master bedroom, a fine box-spring bed with hotel-quality topper (180 x 200 cm) awaits you. There is a large wardrobe with hanging section and a cosy seating area. Above the bed is a whisper-quiet design ceiling fan that provides a soft breeze at night, making your sleep even more comfortable. The bathroom has a spacious rain shower, a classic bathtub on legs, a wide basin and a large gold mirror made from an antique picture frame. There are 2 separate toilets on this floor.

On the upper floor under the roof you will find two bedrooms with a skylight. One of the bedrooms has two box-spring beds with toppers that can be used separately or pushed together to form a double bed of 160 x 200 cm. The other bedroom has two single beds of 90 x 200 cm.

Thanks to its western exposure, thick outer walls and shutters, the gîte stays relatively cool inside.

For your comfort, the whole gîte is equipped with reversible air conditioning. So you can be sure that, even on very hot days, the whole family will sleep well. As the air conditioning can also work as heating, the gîte is also very suitable for a holiday or longer stay in spring or autumn.

When the weather is nice, you live outside a lot. That's why all our gîtes and lodges have an extra large terrace. But the terrace of Gîte Figuier is the most beautiful because of its location and the beautiful view! The spacious terrace has a large metal dining table with 6 chairs, a lounge set, 2 comfortable lounge chairs and a Weber barbecue. The terrace is half covered by a cosy pergola and there is a large parasol. The terrace is enclosed by a sturdy stair gate. Everything is present to enjoy the summer to the maximum with a beautiful view over the rolling hills, the village of Lapenne with its characteristic church tower and the most beautiful sunsets!

We offer free and unlimited WiFi connection of good quality. It is a conscious choice not to offer television, so that you can completely let go of the hectic everyday life. Of course, it is possible to share special TV moments (important news and sports matches) with us and other guests on the big TV.
