What I liked about this property was that it was like stepping back in time (early 1900s). I loved how picturesque the property is and the units are decorated superbly. Location is okay, if you’ve rented a car. The staff was awesome. They were always so kind, helpful, accommodating. Excellent customer service. Also, the mattresses were of good quality. What I didn’t like about my stay was the amount of bugs that crawled into our house and the musty smell of the linens and pillows. The A/C didn’t work well either and, even though the mattresses were good, the heat and the amount of bugs didn’t allow me and my family to sleep well. We were happy to go back home.

Unique heritage resort w amazing staff
Would go back in a heartbeat! - the historical houses imported and gently rebuilt and restored makes this resort a secret gem! Staff, food, wine and service is top quality and the commitment and effort to go above and beyond expectations has made our stay so memorable. Rooms are spacious, grounds, pool and area is clean, wellkept and location is quiet yet very central for touring Langkawi. Great place for families

We loved our stay. Loved the feel of the place and staff. Bulldozer noise was a bit annoying but not anyone's fault. Menu and bfast needed a few more veg options. We would defintely come again and recommend to others. :)

Temple Tree is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed here over Christmas and really enjoyed it. We were able to bring our cat and the hotel was really sweet and accommodating. They brought gifts for us and the cat. There are super friendly cats around the property. I definitely will recommend this place and will be back to stay. Thank you very much Temple Tree. The property is stunning, we loved the colonial buildings and the tasteful renovations. The restaurant/bar area with open terrace onto the garden is particularly nice. The pool and grounds are beautiful, with views over nearby wetlands which is great for spotting bird life. We had a bit of an issue with our original rooms which management promptly sorted out and we were very happy with our new rooms. Unfortunately there were some loud/inconsiderate fellow guests but there is not much management can do about that.

Temple tree and Bonton
What an idea, what beautiful expression of cultures. We got the Penang house and also visited Bonton next door. Amazing breakfast, amazing pools and spaces. Must do in Langkawi, if you can't get a room make it a point to visit for lunch. Sophistication and passion of the ladies running the business is very refreshing. Tip: It's a very calm place so come prepared to travel back in time and unwind.
