Omgivelsene til denne svære resorten er fantastiske. Tett jungel med bungalowene plassert rundt omkring, alle ganske ‘private’. Stort nok til å kunne gå fine turer. Masse dyreliv; aper, fugler, øgler etc. For en naturelsker er dette et paradis. Rommene er helt allrighte, litt små (vi hadde en standard bungalow), men med en liten balkong og bra air con. og ellers fasciliteter. Restaurantene var veldig varierende. Frokostbuffeten var en enorm, upersonlig affære, (med en forferdelig bakgrunnsmusikk som gikk i loop… hele tiden!). Maten var grei. Thai-restauranten var også grei. Beliggenheten ytterst på en pir var fin, ellers var servicen her relativt middelmådig. Jeg ser flere omtaler maten som lite ‘thai’ og mer kinesisk/orientalsk. Enig i det. Beach-brasseriet var derimot veldig bra! Både service, mat, beliggenhet, atmosfære… alt helt topp! En av kelnerene skilte seg spesielt ut - Zainu var utrolig proff, vennlig og gjorde hva han kunne for å gjøre kvelden fin. Flott strand med gode solsenger og svære parasoller. Litt slitt, men det er vel kanskje bare å forvente etter flere år med covid (og lite business). Basseng-området er ikke spesielt bra. Det er kort og godt for lite for en resort av denne størrelse. Et stort minus er man også her kan høre den forferdelige musikken fra frokostsalen, som ligger like ved. Alt i alt, absolutt et hyggelig sted. Med rom for forbedringer på en del punkter. (for vår del var musikken kanskje det som var verst).

Website said we would get two "chalets" of 67 sq m each, in fact we were given 4 very small adjoining rooms that where in a "chalet-like" building. Each room were about 15 sq m each. (we basically got half a chalet, instead of the two chalets we had ordered). We complained and were moved to a seaside actual chalet. This was slightly larger than the promised 67 sq m, but we got only one instead of two. I saw a lot of other people complain as well. They moved everyone that complained to better places.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Langkawi trip and wished we stayed longer. Whilst the rooms may be somewhat dated for a 5*, the customer service at this hotel is exceptional. After checkin they got in touch by WhatsApp to let us know they were available for any assistance 24’7. The facilities were nice, the staff were extremely polite and attentive. It was a real bonus seeing monkeys around the resort, (wish they had come to our balcony!) We didn’t have to wait long for a buggy and didn’t experience queues at breakfast. We opted for half board, there were loads of food options which we liked. On checkout I had left something in the room and they got in touch to let me know within in hour or so, thankfully I had a friend that was able to pick up the item.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort exceeded all expectations! Literally Paradise for a week! I gpt a seaview premier chalet and it was perfect. I was greeted with warm smiles, impeccable service and a buggy to my villa. The resort's stunning location amidst lush greenery and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea created a picturesque backdrop for a truly memorable vacation. The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustle of palm leaves was a rejuvenating experience. The spacious rooms offered breathtaking views and i mean it BREATHETAKING. The resort's facilities catered to every need and desire. Whether lounging by the pool, indulging in delectable cuisine at one of the restaurants, or pampering myself with a relaxing spa treatment, every experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and cared for, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the island's natural beauty through the resort's various excursions and activities. From island hopping Jet skiing to horse riding on the beach, there was never a dull moment. Enjoyable stay almost in the jungle with monkeys around. Food, beach and swimming pool very good and staff very helpful. Had a rented car and it was convenient as the resort is away from everything else. Highly recommended.

We spent 10 days at the Berjaya and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on one of the chalets over the water. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was a joy, as was watching the sunset from the Thai restaurant. All the restaurants offered a good selection of food, my only quibble being the lack of Malaysian snacks such as Sate at the beach/pool bar. One point where things could improve was the need for a supervisor at the beach bar at busy periods. The lads behind the bar did get confused and overwhelmed some lunchtimes. The resort is spread over a large area with many chalets built into the forest. These looked nice but I heard from some that these looked tired. The Berjaya are in the process of renovating their chalets. To cover this area buggies transport you to restaurants, spa (excellent male therapist in the mens section), pool and back to your chalet. The resort provided a very relaxing holiday and the staff were friendly and so helpful. A big thank you to them all. It is however worth noting few things about the area. We were surprised to find some shops and and restaurants had not reopened since Covid, in particular at the Oriental village and Perdana quay. This limited the amount of alternative places to eat. Fortunately taxi are cheap and easy to get, so you can get to Pantai Cenang etc for a change of scene.

Beautiful landscape, the hotel has probably seen its best years bur is still nice and clean. Food was ok. We stayed in a premium on water chalet which has amazing views. Overall good experience. The staff was great, really trying their best to make you feel welcome.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. All the staff was amazing and very accommodating, they go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. It’s a large resort so need a shuttle to get around. They also have a private beach area which is clean and has food and beverage options. Seeing monkeys around the property is also a treat, just need to be careful around them. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, found is slow at times. This can improved.

Great 2 night stay
We were upgraded to a chalet on the water. Great room with fabulous views. Only downside was being in one of these meant we didn't see as many monkeys but you can't have everything. Wonderful, very memorable stay in rainforest
Really great short stay here. Wonderful experience of being in the rainforest, hearing and seeing wildlife, though chalet dd feel small. We loved the beautiful beach and pool. Was a comfortable walk to the cable car, though the hotel offers shuttle. We also loved walking through the rainforest in preference to using their shuttles. Good choice of restaurants to eat at and food quality great, though we found eating breakfast and buffet evening meal in main restaurant bit hectic and not so relaxing. Our favourite was the Beach Brasserie - nice and romantic, especially being serenaded, with great food and service.

The distances between the main building and the chalets can feel long to walk, but the free hotel shuttles are quick and easy to call for. Beautiful pool and beach areas with bar and bistro services. Absolutely wonderful and friendly personnel. Wildlife is practically at your doorstep. Peaceful and relaxed, tropical atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Wir waren rund eine Woche im Januar 2024 dort. Wir hatten ein Chalet im Wald. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Schöne Anlage und guter Service und sauber. Das Hotel liegt etwa 30 Min. ausserhalb der Stadt. Ist aber mit Taxi oder Grab schnell erreichbar. Kosten für eine Fahrt zwischen 25 und 40 Ringgit. Das Meer ist direkt beim Hotel. Es hat genügend Sonnenschirme und Liegen. In der Nähe hat es keine Restaurants. Deshalb in den Hotelrestaurants oder in der Stadt essen gehen.

This resort is undergoing many unit renovations. Don’t be surprised if there is painting, grinding, rail replacement, etc going on outside your door-it is very busy. I think my only recommendation would be to tidy up the renovation and work areas so guests don’t have to see the evidence of the work. The workers only work during day hours when people are out so it didn’t bother us.

We absolutely loved our stay here the resort was just so relaxing from the lovely pool area to the private beach - we spent a lot of time just chilling at the beach bar the food at the restaurant by the beach was amazing the staff at this resort go above and beyond big shout out to Ganga who served us at the beach bar - our room had a lovely view of the ocean room was lovely and very spacious - the wildlife you see when walking in the resort is so beautiful the resort is isolated is only the cable car with Oriental village is near so you need transport if you want to explore we hired a scooter but as not much traffic on the island we could have hired a car - you can book trips from the hotel these are also very good - several other restaurants in the resort the Thai restaurant is good - The New Years Eve Gala Dinner was spectacular we watched all the preparations for this evening and it was incredible - we would def come back to this resort when visiting Langkawi only thing I would say is the breakfast at the beach restaurant some of the hot food was cold could do with better hot plates to keep items warm but this didn’t stop us from eating here it’s only an observation - thank you Berjaya resort we will be back 😊😊😊
