Spacious Hilltop Escape with Basketball, Pingpong & Sunset Firepit

Relax and unwind overlooking 70+ acres of beautiful preserved farmland. Magnolia Cottage was built 10 years ago and is both charming and modern. The living space includes beautiful hardwood floors, large windows with natural light, a beautiful wraparound porch and back patio so that you are always surrounded with a beautiful farm view. The spacious 5-bedroom house is perfect for remote work and schooling, reunions, family vacations and needed escapes to the country. Magnolia Cottage is easily accessible to many local destinations, including Downtown Lancaster, Hershey Park and Amish Country. Come enjoy the peacefulness of Lancaster County. We hope that you will find rest in this scenic location.

The Space

Enjoy overlooking beautiful farmland, with the amenities of quality beds, a fully stocked kitchen, Amish-made dining room table, and a living room with a gas fireplace and Smart TV. The wraparound porch is perfect for relaxing, bird watching, reading a book, and drinking coffee. The patio provides the perfect location for an evening of grilling and making s’mores over the fire pit.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a coffee pot, fridge, a gas stove top, two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, and toaster. You will also have pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, and dinnerware for your use.

There are 5 bedrooms on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and en suite bathroom including a double vanity and walk-in shower with a rain shower head. Three bedrooms have two twin beds, which can be used as two beds or easily combined to make a king-sized bed. One bedroom has a full-sized bed. There are two additional bathrooms (3 full bathrooms total) on the 2nd floor. Each contains a double vanity, bathtub and shower. One, Jack and Jill bathroom, is in-between two of the bedrooms. We provide towels and washcloths for you, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is also a washer and dryer available for use on the first floor.

The home is equipped with high-speed internet and includes a TV with wireless access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. The finished basement has a ping pong table.

The backyard is perfect for grilling, games, and sitting around the fire. There is a basketball hoop in the driveway, and the surrounding area draws people from all over the county for long bike rides. Within walking distance is Daniel’s Den Playground, that includes a ½ mile walking trail, sports fields, and a creative playground for children.

Wonderful Stay

It was so nice to stay at this property. Plenty of room for our 7 member family. Loved the layout of the house. We even had a campfire one night. Nice and private too. Didn’t have to worry about neighbors right next door. Highly recommend staying at this vacation rental!

Awesome Cousins Weekend at Magnolia Cottage

Magnolia Cottage is exactly what we needed for our annual Lancaster County getaway. The house is beautiful and spacious. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and accommodating. Everyone talked about how comfortable the mattresses are. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The views are spectacular! We absolutley loved the sunrises and sunsets. Country Retreat located amid rolling hills and plenty of room for families

Beautiful house with all the amenities

This house was spacious and perfect for our 8 coworkers! The grounds are spectacular. In our downtime there’s ping pong, basketball and a fire pit. It’s close enough to stores and highways but with no neighbors..just surrounded by corn!! Everyone had a wonderful time!

Simply wonderful!

In the area for a wedding, my sister, our husbands and four adult children thoroughly enjoyed our stay “Magnolia Cottage”. There was ample room to gather in both small and large groups throughout the home and or porch or back patio. The kitchen is spacious and nicely appointed. We enjoyed gathering around the fire pit in the evenings and spent most mornings on the covered porch enjoying coffee together! The area has multiple markets and other commercial options for grocery and various supplies. We loved our stay and recommend this property with comfort and confidence!

College reunion

I rented the Magnolia Cottage for a small 50th year reunion of 9 friends. The living, dining and bedroom spaces were ideal. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. The location was a lovely Lancaster County setting while still being close to the city of Lancaster.

Best Sleep Ever

Where to begin? The views from this home were spectacular, even with a little rain. It was so very peaceful and quiet. The beds were absolutely the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The rooms were a perfect fit for our group of 9. We will definitely be booking this home again when we return to Lancaster.

Wonderfully pleasant stay.

House is locationed in a beautiful setting with lots of surrounding land. The inside is immaculately clean, and includes a lot of updated accents that add to the appeal. The ping pong table, fire pit, basketball court were a blast. Kitchen had everything you need. Host was wonderful, helpful, and communicated strategically at various time to ensure we were doing well. I highly recommend.
