«This was an excellent place to stay, with historic ironworks in front, whitewater in behind, and a real steam-engine train passing by that looked like something out of a story book. There are two flights of 17 steps each, for a total of 34 steps to get to the flat, and then 14 more inside the cottage to get to the bedroom. «This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all ...

«Had a lovely time at Cross cottage. It was a lovely quiet location but only 5 min drive to Kirkby Lonsdale for restaurants pubs and shops. Great for all the Yorkshire dales hills and villages. Garden to the cottage was well maintained and relaxing. Good Wi-Fi and free sat too. Shower was super powerful . Always a bonus. Only improvement would be curtains over French doors now the darker nights are coming back for added privacy and cosy feel. Would definitely book again n this cottage and this ...

«We booked Molly’s Pantry as a relatively last minute get away (the name helped as our daughter is called Molly) and we were so pleasantly surprised! The house is beautiful, clean and the hosts have thought of everything, including bowls and beds for furry friends!
