LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!

Tucked away in a peaceful forest setting, this charming home offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Start your stay on the expansive wraparound deck, designed with cozy outdoor seating all around—ideal for relaxing with family, enjoying a morning coffee, or dining al fresco. The semi-steep driveway provides convenient parking for up to four vehicles.

As you step inside, you’ll be welcomed by an open-concept kitchen and living area. To your right is the entrance to the fully finished basement, while straight ahead leads you into the heart of the home. The kitchen comes fully stocked with stainless steel appliances, including two ovens, perfect for preparing meals with ease. The spacious living room features a large sectional sofa, a big-screen TV, and access to the back deck, where a gas grill awaits for evening barbecues.

A spiral staircase leads to the loft, where you’ll find two twin beds and a pool table, making it a fun and comfortable spot to hang out.

On the main level, the primary bedroom offers a serene retreat with a king-size bed, a TV, and private access to the back deck. The en suite bathroom is spa-like, featuring a Jacuzzi tub, a large walk-in shower, and dual vanities for added convenience.

The lower level is fully furnished and expands the home’s living space. To the left, there’s a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and around the corner, a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The hallway leads to three additional bedrooms. The first is a cozy room with a queen-size bed and a TV. Further along, the second primary suite includes a king-size bed, a twin bed, a TV, and its en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual sinks. The third bedroom on this level offers a queen-size bed, a twin bed, and a TV, making it a versatile space for families or groups.

Step outside to the screened-in porch and enjoy a soak in the large hot tub, surrounded by plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. For a quiet escape, take a short walk down to the gentle stream, where you can savor a meal at the picnic table while listening to the calming sound of flowing water.

As evening sets in, gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy the magic of the forest under the stars. Golden Creek Cabin provides a true sense of seclusion, all while offering a full range of resort-style amenities.
