NEW Private Lake Michigan beach house on Good Harbor Bay, minutes from Leland!

Get away up north and come stay at the beach! This 5 bedroom house sits on a large private lot with its own beach directly on Lake Michigan. Wake up to views of the Manitou Islands, Pyramid Point, and Whaleback. With beds for 13, it's the perfect spot for an extended family to enjoy time away together. Only minutes from Leland, Fishtown and Sleeping Bear Dunes, there is plenty to do and see in the surrounding areas.

This 4110 sq ft home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, a kitchen with separate eating area, a dining room, great room, family room and a two decks, one off the master and one off the great room. The master bedroom has a king bed with its own bath, with a wet bar and desk. Three bedrooms have queen beds in them and the last bedroom is a bunk room that sleeps 5. There are two large bathrooms across the hallway from these four bedrooms. The kitchen comes with every tool and appliance you need to cook and serve meals for the whole family. There is a large yard with plenty of grass for running around or tossing a football. The beach is 226' of private frontage on Good Harbor Bay in Lake Michigan. Kayaks are provided for your use as well as beach chairs and sand toys.

When you aren't swimming or kayaking at the beach, there are numerous hiking and biking trails close by. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is close by with scenic routes and of course, the Dune Climb! Check out the shopping in Leland or Glen Arbor, explore Fishtown or visit one of the many area wineries. Traverse City is only about 30 minutes away for more shopping and exploring. Spend your nights around a lakeside campfire, roasting marshmallows and enjoying the sunset. Unplug and relax with the whole family at this peaceful up north beach home.

Beautiful home right on M22. It truly doesn’t get better than that. Perfect home for a family with large yard and beach. The hosts were wonderful and responsive if we had any questions. Beach comes well equipped with chairs, kayaks, fire pit, and a stand up paddle-board. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets every night over good harbor bay. Having access to a grill made meal times simple and we truly had everything we needed (shampoo, towels, bedding, fans, smart TVs etc). We traveled with our 9 month old and felt like the house was perfect! There is a large closet that fits a pack and play which allowed us to perfectly black out a sleep space for her with room for a monitor and sound machine. That made traveling with a baby a breeze. Can’t say enough good things about this property and we will definitely be back.

Lake fun

The owners couldn't have been more welcoming. The home was generously stocked beyond what one would expect. They also generously shared use of beach items to make our stay more enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and chairs at the beach. We also looked forward to nightly firepit gatherings. We actually felt like being welcomed as friends into someones home. Thank you for a great stay.

Beautiful home and beautifully maintained property! Accommodated three generation family vacation with plenty of room for everyone. Large yard for lawn games and large waterfront for water activities were a big hit. This property is a great location for golfing, hiking, boating, canoeing, shopping and more.

Beautiful Vacation Rental

This property was stunning and in an amazing location. The house was extremely clean and all the amenities listed were available to us. We appreciated how easy the host was to communicate with throughout the rental process. There was convenient access to the beach and the lake provided a great breeze throughout the days and nights. You cannot beat these views of the bay! This property was right down the road from the Leland downtown and a short drive to Traverse City. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this as a vacation rental and hope to return in the future.

Great private oasis

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. It was spacious, relaxing and nicely located between Glen Arbor and Leland. The accomodations down by the water were lovely.. kayaks, adirondack chairs, lounge chairs and a fire pit. The negatives in my opinion were lack of walkability or bikeability anywhere from the house. One could venture out on m22 but certainly not for children. and, perhaps this was my mistake, but I assumed a home that was renting for as much as this home was would have AC. There is nowhere in the description that says NO AC.. just doesn't highlight that it has it. SO, it was VERY warm in the house. 78. We spent a lot of energy on "window open and closing" to try to maintain a cooler temp.. bought 3 box fans.. etc. Just wasn't the relaxation I was looking for personally. So, if you are ok with no AC and no walk ability everything else was lovely.

Great for Families

We had friends and family stay for a week and this house was great. Large enough for everyone to have space, close to everything and seconds from the lake. The big yard and beautiful views made it somewhere we would go back. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great stay on Lake Michigan near Leelanau

We had an excellent time at this huge, spacious property. The grounds are also expansive and include a large stretch of rocky shoreline on Lake Michigan. The kitchen and baths are somewhat dated but very functional. There were many children’s books and games and plenty of outdoor and indoor dining options. A fire pit and Adirondack chairs and loungers were at the shoreline as well as kayaks, a SUP, and water toys. Great stay for a large family

Beautiful property

The home is beautiful and as advertised. The photos of the home are as pictured We have done a family vacation for 22 years using VRBO. This year my daughter had some very complicated surgery so I had to find a place all on one floor and easy access to the beach so she could enjoy vacation (she had 3 surgeries in a couple weeks and couldn't walk). The water is the MAIN reason we do this vacation every year. I asked twice and was told twice (before we came) it was a "slight" incline to the beach, which we thought would be doable and paid more for this property than most years. Unfortunately it was not slight so if you have any trouble walking or with you knees this is not the beach for you. Maybe they will post photos of the incline so others can decide for themselves. My other kids and grandkids loved the water and they had a great time. Unfortunately there was no way my daughter could have managed the incline to be with her kids.

Best getaway with a stunning view!!

My Wife and I stayed here for a short honeymoon. The house was way better then we could have ever imagined. It was very clean when we arrived and everything was fully stocked with the basic necessities. Communication was prompt and clear from both Troy and Melissa. The property was absolutely gorgeous and very secluded for being a lot off the water. It was a little too cold for us to use the beach and kayak's provided but we look forward getting to use them next time we visit. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will be telling everyone about this gem!

Wonderful Vacation Spot

Our group (including kids ages 3-11) loved this house. The sunsets, the yard, and the beach access were all amazing. The beach set up here cannot be beat- what a treat to walk down the short path to private access at Good Harbor, equipped with kayaks, SUPs and lounge chairs. The house was clean and well appointed, we were able to spread out and the kids loved the bunk room. The house feels very private but has easy access to town too-just minutes to Leland and Lake Leelanau. The owners were quick to reply whenever we had questions and they have provided everything you could need during a stay here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a northern Michigan vacation!

Lovely Spot

Beautiful home on a great spot on Lake Michigan. Extended family of 10 were very comfortable all week long. Had to communicate with the owner a couple of times and they responded immediately which was very helpful.

Multi generation family trip

Beautiful condition, gorgeous setting, spacious and lovely views. Large bedrooms especially the master with very comfortable bedding. Enjoyed beach area and kayaks. Easy access to town of Leland for restaurants and shopping.
