I have gone to Lake Lawn for many years with all of my family, the improvement in the design and decor are very nice and brighten up the lodge. However I’m not sure if they no longer employ any kind of security service,or some department to oversee disruption. This is a family lodge,and there were many, many kids there. Outside the pool area there were groups of people camped out eating and drinking beer and wine and hard liquor, totally inappropriate. I’m not a teatotaler,however , try and conceal your drink around children.
Children were left unattended throughout the lodge of all ages. Older kids bouncing basketballs throughout the halls, little kids with little scooters.
My husband found a little boy about 4yrs.old wondering the halls crying, he didn’t know where he was, or his last name or his room # so they walked to the pool to see if anyone recognized him, the game room, finally, no security to call they went to the restaurant/bar and finally the boy was familiar and there were his parents ,drinking!
Basically the it seemed like the whole lodge was a fraternity party.
I think the hotel should review some policies regarding its open areas for all guests. That’s why you have rooms,use those for your entertainment or the hotel I’m sure would prefer you use their restaurants.
The cleaning staff was excellent!
The room was extremely clean!
