The Space:

There may not be enough words to properly describe the cabin, so we'll start with... rustic, modern, Scandinavian, contemporary, minimalist, but most of all... perfection.



Emily Henderson's "super power" is styling. And from the moment you walk through the door, you'll feel the bright and cozy space she created with families in mind. Each room invites you to make yourself at home, but the high end details remind you that you're totally on vacation (what other kitchen can boast 200 year old reclaimed barn wood?! What other bathroom can claim a "smart" shower and "smart" toilet?!). Whether you spend some quiet hours by the fire with a book, or play a noisy game around the huge dining table, this house was designed for you.



Your kids will get lost for hours in the play loft, complete with a rock climbing wall, secret nook, doll house, books, toys, and craft table. Let them explore the serene backyard or open woods beyond, while you sip wine on the deck. Stare at the trees overhead in the hammock, soak in the hot tub, curl up by the outdoor fireplace, and listen to the sound of the backyard stream. Even a full house can fit around the table and once you discover all the kitchen amenities you'll be sure to cancel those dinner reservations and in favor of dining in. Each bathroom is a masterpiece, but the crown jewel is of course the master bath, where you can soak in a deep freestanding tub surrounded by trees out the windows and a vaulted ceiling overhead.



While there's endless fun to be had in Arrowhead and surrounding areas (trust me, we have a huge list for you with things to do and places to eat), you'll find it hard to leave this home. No cost was spared in transforming The Mountain House, and we know you'll cherish it as much as the Henderson family.

Guest Access:

The main level has one bedroom with a king bed and en suite bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find another guest room with both a king and queen bed, and an suite bathroom. The kids’ room now has two bunk beds, with twins over fulls, and a bathroom across the hall. The kids’ room also has its own play loft with toys, books, and crafts. The master bedroom has a king bed, fireplace, private deck with another fireplace, and big en suite bathroom complete with a freestanding tub.

The home boasts a big backyard with tons of grass, a stream, hot tub, bbq, and hammock. Beyond the gate is 50 acres of open forest guests can explore, which is beautiful in every season. There are some kid bikes on premises and the neighborhood is a quiet street perfect for a family walk.



**Lake Access: All our guests are welcome to use our lake passes for accessing the lake trails! We have recommendations on the best places to swim or relax on the sand.**



The Neighborhood:

The Mountain House is situated on a quiet street, with 50 of acres of open forest just beyond the backyard. Whether it's warm weather or snowy weather, you'll love the peaceful trees surrounding the home. Walk out the back gate to see Tavern Bay and a beautiful view of the lake.



Located close to both the Lake Arrowhead Village and Blue Jay, trips to the store, restaurants and shops are easy. Roads are plowed in the winter, and the close proximity to a main road makes for an easy drive.



We have a big list for you of all thing things to do (with kids or without kids) in each season, and all our favorite places to eat!



This town is close to our heart and we can't wait for you to fall in love with it too.



Getting Around:

In the summer months, get out on the lake with our friends at Mackenzie Ski School. Enjoy walking around the Lake Arrowhead Village, where kids feed ducks and run around on the grass of waterfront park. SkyPark at Santa's Village is always a hit year round with fun outdoor activities for all ages. Take a picnic to MacKay Park overlooking the lake, or enjoy the beauty of Dogwood trails. Half day visits to Lake Gregory or Green Valley Lake are also highly recommended.

In winter months, come up for snow sports! We're exactly half hour drive to Snow Valley Ski Resort, 20 minutes to the Snowdrift tubing park, and 10 minutes to a great sledding area (yup, we provide you sleds!). But with all the outdoor space at The Mountain House and beyond the back gate, you'll hardly have to leave the property to get your fill of snow play.

Cancellation Policy: Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance will receive a full refund of the total booking amount.
