Lagoa is a hill town with whitewashed houses that used to rise above a lagoon (Lagoa). Now only the name remains, as does the top wine. Lagoa consists of a mix of new houses and old (18th century) houses. A walk through the town alone will give you an idea of the traditional Algarve.



The town is close to some of the Algarve's best beaches: Albandeira, Benagil, Carvoeiro and Marinha. These magical beaches are famous for their brightly coloured cliffs and crystal clear waters.
