«Arrived at ny 12 noon check in per my registration with a couple of bags of perishable items to cook over the stay. Once I arrived I was told that they do not do check in until 3 PM. I showed them that the check in per my reservation was at 12 noon and that I had purchased food that could not sit in a hot car for three hours. «This hotel has a great beach location. Although we couldn't go into the ocean because of jellyfish allegedly. The sea is best for surfing and water sports not so much relaxing. Pools were fine. The rooms were in need of repairs, first room we found mold and they didn't move us until the next day. Second room was better but showers were leaking, air conditioner smelt of mildew. «Very safe feeling neighborhood. No problem walking around at night. The hotel complex is also safe and comfortable. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, especially the manager Jesus. «Communication from the owner was excellent. The staff was amazing and patient with our lack of Spanish. The food was delicious and made dining stress free for my wife and me. The grounds and pool were also quite nice. If “bang for your buck” is a priority, I recommend La Maracuya. It’s a little remote, but we wanted some quiet time, and the location didn’t prevent us from exploring. We visited the pacific beaches and El Valle de Anton via rental car.
