«Wh chose this hotel as it had a pool. When we got to the hotel they informed us that there only was one indoor pool and it was in the club/gym that had an age limit of 15 years old. That meaning our kids could not use it. Other activities were really hard to book, eg. the tennis courts were all booked foe a tournament. The room was very big and nice, however outdated. Buffet was OK . Nice outdoor area where you could grill marshmallows. Nice onsen.»

«Apart from the nice room, the relaxing private open air bath and the fabulous breakfast, it was the wonderful members of staff who made the whole experience so special that we were reluctant to leave. Dinner at Gen, especially regarding the very tasty first dishes, was quite good, too.The Oita course at the seafood restaurant, however, is apparently meant to cater to the tastes of overseas visitors; the portions are much too large to be truly enjoyable (esp. the toriten).»

«We were unaware on our reservation through Hotels.com that our reservation included breakfast and dinner. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and dinner was basically the same every night - not what I am looking for in a vacation. Still the dinner is very good. «As the hotel we where going to stay in was closed, was we sent to Hotel Toyokan. With fantastic help from the hotel staff was we shown to our room, who is a classic, old japanese room.
