We loved this 3 story home at Kure Beach! It was perfect for a large family event to see our oldest son graduate from UNC Wilmington! Home is a 1 block walk to the beach with grocery stores and beach shops nearby! Would definitely stay here again! Bring sheets, towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Great hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and newly finished patio!

We have stayed at this listing twice now & are very willing to do so again! The cleaning crew hadn’t done the best job before we arrived this time but the host was very open to this conversation & was going to address it. It’s a very spacious house which is perfect for our large family & is close enough to the beach for us to walk back & forth throughout the day with the kids as needed without issue. The neighborhood is very quiet & everyone’s always been friendly when we’ve encountered them, it’s close enough for Walmart or various restaurants to do deliveries which is a huge plus!

We enjoyed the location of this property. It was situated just a few blocks from Kure Beach and the pier, making it very convenient. The neighborhood was also relatively quiet, which we appreciated and found to be one of the highlights of our stay.Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the house were disappointing. Upon arrival, it was clear that the property had not been cleaned after the previous guests. We immediately notified the host and were informed that the cleaning company's manager was out of the country. While a cleaning crew was sent out quickly, the job appeared rushed. The dishwasher was still full of dirty dishes, the bathrooms were not properly cleaned, and the house was left with an overwhelming smell of cleaning products. Our biggest concern was the number of roaches we encountered throughout the stay. We saw them daily, primarily in the upstairs living area that included the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. Because of this, we had to take extra precautions when returning home, unloading our belongings outside, shaking everything out, and washing all linens and clothing to ensure we did not bring any pests back with us.The home's overall condition also needs attention. The laundry room blinds were hanging, the loveseat had a hole in it, and the outdoor shower door did not close from wear and tear. While the location is excellent, the property is in need of significant maintenance, renovation, deep cleaning and professional pest control.

Fantastic location

This was our second time staying here. The location is ideal. The primary bedroom with private cover is worth the price of admission!

Pros & ConsBefore booking, future guests should know that this home does not provide sheets, towels, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, or other basic necessities, so plan accordingly. The biggest positives are the size and location. The home is spacious, with four bedrooms plus additional bunk beds, and it comfortably fit our family of six. It’s in a quiet, safe neighborhood, within walking distance of the beach, and close to the Kure Beach Pier, which was a huge plus.Unfortunately, the home fell short when it came to cleanliness and maintenance. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets, crumbs and residue inside the kitchen drawers and silverware drawer, and soap scum and residue in the tubs and showers. Instead of relaxing after arriving, we had to clean before we felt comfortable using the home.Another major concern was the wasp activity. Although the host informed us the property had been treated prior to our arrival, wasps were still everywhere around the house. Our 6-year-old was stung on the first day, which understandably made her too scared to spend much time outside for the rest of our vacation. This property has the potential to be a fantastic rental because of its size and location. However, it needs a more hands-on owner, better upkeep, and a much more thorough cleaning between guests. If those issues were addressed, I would gladly recommend it.

We stayed at this location for a full week with a wide age range of kiddos, other than needing to get a baby gate for the stairs for our 1 year old we had no major issues within the home! What minimal problems there were the hosts were great at addressing quickly & were easily reached when needed

Lovely quiet getaway

Very easy check in. A little surprised that sheets, towels, and extra paper products weren't included. But accommodations were spacious and perfect for our family trip with kids and grandkids. Super close to the beach and plenty of parking.

Great Family Get-Together Place

Our family get-together of 10 really enjoyed our stay. The location was private and quiet, while having close access to the beach. The owners were very responsive and accomodating to our requests. One of our littles accidentally left a stuffy at the rental, and John was able to find it and ship it out to us - we really appreciated the quick responses and helpfulness! We would definitely recommend a stay here and will be back!

Kure beach getaway

Property had its ups and downs. Location was amazing. Property was not very clean when we arrived. We did our best to keep things clean and organized throughout the stay and still got charged with extra cleaning fees. The property in general was unkept and outdated.

Great for a large group

We were expecting to entertain 18-24 people for my sons wedding and hurricane Ian disrupted those plans a bit. Ended up being only 9 of us but the house would have easily held us all for dinner/drinks. Abby and John were gracious and accomadating. Enjoyed the stay!

Kure Beach getaway

This property was ideal for our needs. The only small bump was the beds weren't made when we arrived. I rented linens from the recommended company and their website stated the fee covered beds being made upon arrival. Not a big issue just thought you might want to know for future reference.

The stay was amazing!!! The beach was amazing. Everything at the house was exactly how the owers said!!! My only complaint was the comforters in the rooms and the mattresses were all dingy and dirty looking. Other than that it was AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for this pleasurable visit!!!!

Great Family Vacation House

This house was perfect for my family and my sister's family. There was plenty of space and the main living space was large enough for all of us! Not sure if it was my lack of reading about the house, but the top 3rd floor that has the queen bedroom is also were the kitchen, living room and dining room are too. I assumed the 3rd floor only had the one bedroom and bathroom. thanks for letting us stay at your house!

Group of 10 family vacation

This home was in a great location, quiet neighborhood and a short easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed having the use of both decks and the swings were great, the common area was perfectly laid out for a large family and we appreciate the use of the wagon and beach chairs. However, there was lack of communication prior to the trip, leaving us unaware that towels, toilet paper, paper towels and linens were not provided until a few hours before check-in.  So be aware you will need to provide these items for your trip.

Nice but could have been cleaner

Older property that could use a good cleaning and some fresh paint, new carpets and updates in the bedrooms. Although the kitchen is beautiful and has a lot of nice features and updates it had minimal supplies, pots that looked like they had been used over a campfire, and no sharp knives for cutting things like vegetables. If you’re looking for a large house with a nice amount of bedrooms and bathrooms and don’t necessarily care about aesthetics then this is a great place to stay!
