Beach Cottage With Private Home Gym 2 Blocks From The Beach

Welcome to Kure Beach Escape. This may be the perfect place for you if:

• You want a PRIVATE gym that comes with Peloton memberships included
• You enjoy being close to the beach
• You want a house to yourself

We purchased this property since we wanted a place at the beach for our family to relax. We wanted to create a place at the beach that was one of a kind, so what better way than adding in a home gym. Now we want to share our one of a kind experience with others.

Our home has 1 bedroom with a queen bed. A large sofa for your rest and relaxation is in the living room.

The kitchen has an electric 2 burner stovetop. We do not have a traditional oven, but it has a Sharp `SuperSteam` combo microwave/convection oven. We have all your needed cooking utensils and plenty of dishes.

A bathroom with stand up shower equipped with a stocked soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser for your convenience.

An all-in-one washer/dryer combo unit with free detergent is also available for your use.

We have 2 private driveway parking spots. Since we are located directly on `K` Avenue, you have an easy 5 minute walk straight to the pier. On the way, you will pass shops, food and coffee as you enjoy the beautiful area.

*Please make sure to indicate within the platform if you plan on bringing pets. There is a one time $100 pet fee that ends up being split up over the number of nights that you are staying and it will reflect in the nightly rate. We allow up to 2 dogs*

We have a great patio with table and chairs to enjoy some outdoor space. We can`t stress enough that you`re close enough to the beach to walk and then get away from the busy area when you`re ready to relax.
Having a private home gym is the added benefit to your stay allowing continued fitness right near a beach!
Please be aware that there is no smoking at the property.

Although we do allow pets we do not allow pets on the furniture and we ask that you do not leave the pets at the house unattended. Also please clean up after your pet.

Gym Rules:

• No individuals under 18 years of age allowed unsupervised
• No pets in the gym
• No dropping weights from overhead
• Use weights and machines responsibly and within your abilities
• Do not remove any of the equipment from the gym, with an exception of the jump ropes
• Return items when you’re done using them
• Wipe down equipment after use
• Do not move the bikes or the dumbbell rack
• No food in the gym
• Proper attire should be worn while in the gym
• Make sure to consult your medical professional before working out and using any of the equipment

Location was a 10 but , The home was in a bit of despair and it wasn’t very clean . Furniture was in bad need of cleaning also. I feel confident that we left it cleaner than when we got there. Cleaning fee should be returned to us in my opinion. The CONSTANT BARKING of the neighbors dogs was MOST annoying to say the least! Not a good experience at all. We won’t be returning to this VRBO

The beach house was in a great location and just a short five minute walk to the ocean. It was small but adequate for two people and two dogs. The rental was not very clean and the outdoor trash cans were so full we could barely take the trash out. The bathroom shower was moldy, and there was dirt and toilet splatter on the walls near the plunger and toilet bowl brush. The bathroom sink was so small that we would hit out head on the medicine cabinet while trying to brush our teeth. The on-site laundry was convenient, but the washer/dryer was not clean and needed to be cleaned out and wiped down before it could be used. The shower base was very soft and spongy, and the patch covering the hole was coming up. The floor in the bedroom at the foot of the bed was also very spongy. We did not use the gym or rent any of the additional equipment that was offered. It seems that general maintenance and cleanliness were lacking.

Nice location, about 2 blocks walking from the pier. If you are a fitness guru, the gym in the back looks off the chain. Restaurants/bars within walking distance. On the main avenue entering Kure Beach. Kitchen has mostly what is needed. No oven…but microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, pots and pans, utensils, plates, etc. The entry pad was unlit at the beginning, which led to a few incorrect entry codes initially. But overall, a good experience. We were there for the beach and ambiance..both boxes checked during our stay.

There were some pluses and minuses with our stay. The location was nice being about 3 blocks from the beach. The road in front at times was busy and loud since its a main thoroughfare to the small town of Kure Beach. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded. The cottage could use some TLC and a deep cleaning especially the bathroom and shower surround. The kitchen is adequate and had everything you need. Some lights are burnt out and need replacing. The bed is very comfortable. The exercise room was a bonus. It had all the free weights you needed and other equipment including peloton bikes and flat screen TV. The outside seating area was not very private and was overgrown with weeds and outside seats need new cushions. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The cottage could be nicer if owners do some minor things as mentioned above.

I love the location, but when we got there. We noticed the floor looked kind of dirty, but we just kind of went on with our business unloading the car. But we walked into the restroom. There was hair on the side of sink, I looked down and notice women's hair or child's hair all over the bottom of the floor in the bathroom. Then I look by the shower more hair and rubber bands, I looked at the side of shower it had mildew, dust and dirt. I was in shocked. The side of the toilet there was urine. I reach out to Antonio. To let him know, he said that he would have them come back and clean. But after traveling all day, nobody wants other people in there, especially you do not know them. We didn't feel comfortable for them to come out. After we complained. So I swept up the floor and I sent him pictures. He didn't even say sorry. I apologize or nothing. That's what upsets me the most. The remote control to the TV did not even have batteries that worked. We had to download the app to use the tv. This place needs a major deep clean and some TLC. But over all perfect location and nice place.

The property is in a fantastic location and the size is perfect for a couple, offering good overall value. However, there were some issues. Noticeable soft spots in the bedroom floor and shower, noticeable cockroach activity both indoors and outdoors, and the cleanliness could have been better. Additionally, the tall, unmaintained grass made the yard and patio space unusable.

Great location! Within walking distance to everything! The cottage exceeded all expectations.. the gym was a wonderful bonus! Restaurants are nearby but we utilized the outdoor gas grill for most of our meals which was so convenient! The cottage even included a beach wagon which came in so handy for carrying all of our beach gear. My daughter loved being close to yoga at the beach pavilion! Another added bonus was that we were able to have our two small dogs along on the vacation . To say we had a great time at this little gem is an understatement. From day one we were already planning to return! Joe, thank you for sharing your precious cottage with us!

Great location, property could use some TLC

The location was great, plenty of things to walk to including the beach. The cottage itself shows its age and could use some attention. If you're planning to spend the majority of your time outdoors, you likely wouldn't notice as much as we did but it rained on us for the majority of the stay so we were stuck inside. Still, we enjoyed our stay there.

Perfect size for a couple and dogs!

This little cottage was perfect for me, my husband, and our dogs. It was so close to the corner store, restaurants, and the pier! Fort Fisher was just a 5 min drive away! We loved our stay.

Trip to Kure Beach

Crack in the floor of the shower and soft. Storm door screws falling out. Ant hillls outside on the driveway. Yard work was less than neat It was very clean inside and comfortable. Nice location.

Great spot in Kure
