Old hotel under renovation
Pullman City Centre hotel was chosen based on good experiences from the past, 7 years ago, when this was Prince hotel. Unfortunately not much has been done to keep the hotel up to date over the years and Pullman has now started renovation work, one floor at a time. We ended up changing rooms two times during a one-week stay. First; after a couple of days in the first room chemical smells from the renovation work on the floor above came through the AC causing massive headache. A new room a couple of floors down was chosen which seemed fine at first glance. After a day or so; a new smell started materializing - more of a urin-smell this time. It became worse and we asked for assistance. We were then relocated to a new floor but the same issue there after a day. In general the cleaning of the rooms were not very good. Only the obvious areas are cleaned. The staff of the hotel did what was in their capacity with out problems I guess, but relocating two times without improvement should raise a flag. And when we asked for a late check-out, due to flight in the evening, we were offered such a high price that it was cheaper to book one more night through hotels.com. We were disappointed over the service. I am sure the Pullman will be a nice hotel when they are finished with renovation - if they manage to take care of their customers in the meantime..

Valgte leilighet-rom i det hotellet.. det var stort og fint, men lite utsikt. Sentralt var det og kun par hundre meter unna mega stor senter. Frokost buffe var god😉

Et perfekt utgangspunkt for å utforske KL
Et meget sentralt alternativ til det meste! Like i nærheten av Pavilion Shoppingområdet med alt av butikker, samt restauranter og barer. Kort vei til gangtunnelen som fører til Petronas Twin-towers, byparken med merket joggeløype og lekeplass og til Aquaria. Hotellet har svært hyggelige, profesjonelle og imøtekommende hotellansatte uten at det ble påtrengende. Tilbyr AirPort transfer og det er taxier utenfor hotellets inngang. Basseng med bar/taverna. Rommet var helt ålreit, romslig men noe "slitent" bad, og det samme gjelder rommets heldekkende gulvteppe. Ikke for allergikere! Likevel er totalinntrykket svært bra. Veldig gode senger, reint og ordentlig sengetøy, vannkoker og kaffe/te, badekåpe, tøfler/frotteslippers, strykejern, hårføner, safe og minibar. På badet fantes det meste av hva man trenger, men som er "glemt igjen hjemme". God kvalitet på håndklærne. Ingen støy utenfra. Det som trekker ned er litt "slapt" renhold når det gjelder gulv (både på badet og rommet), samt at det kom røyklukt (sigarett) i dusjen (fra over eller underetasjen). Dette var imidlertid ikke merkbart ellers på badet/rommet. Noe støy i lobbyen grunnet ombygging, men antar det er forbigående. Oppsummert: Et glimrende utgangspunkt for å oppleve KL!

Hardware average but staff and services are below expectation especially for the Pullman brand. Electric sockets need replacement but no immediately replacement or follow up. Housekeeping forgot to give face towels and hand towels for the first night, second night missing other items. Coffee shop has no service. Overall, the staffs and service is significantly below expectation. Very disappointment. Not going back.

設備が少し古くなってきています。しかし、ベッドリネンは清潔です。 朝食は非常に混雑するので、卵料理を注文するのは困難です。食事の質は、このクラスの標準的な内容ですが、種類は豊富です。 マレーシアでこのクラスのホテルをオペレーションするのは、ご苦労されていることと思います。 大陸からの観光客が多かったが、生活習慣が異なるので、朝食の会場は分けて欲しい。

Disappointed
For a Pullman property we were very disappointed. Our larger upgrade room was nice enough but is showing its age. Massive bed but hard as a rock. Air conditioning blowing right on to bed, so hard to get room temp comfortable. We dined at the large, but mostly empty, international restaurant and were very underwhelmed. We had the “Korean style special” wings, a seafood Laksa and a mushroom soup. After a long wait the wine arrived, and after an even longer wait the soup and Laksa arrived. Soup was ok, but Laksa was the worst I have had. Overcooked prawn (1) and a tasteless lime juice soup with some vegetables and Japanese Udon noodles,and, I think grated apple. Unusual. The wings were forgotten about. Waiter did eventually apologise and offered a free matcha tea sweet that no one else wanted( after tasting we realised why). A lot of room service orders apparently. When wings did arrive, we asked about the “unique” sauces to go with them. The waiter had no idea but did suggest mushroom sauce. Really, with chicken wings? When he found out we settled on the garlic/soy, but in retrospect would have been better with the mushroom sauce. We ate them but… On complaint to front desk I stressed it was not individual staff, but poor training and supervision. Poor waiter phoned later and I had to reassure him he was not completely responsible. Seemed like he was made the scapegoat. Disappointed, particularly in a Pullman property.

Cigarette smell from nowhere.
This hotel location and room was great. But the smoking smell was not a good experience. Even I’m staying in a non smoking floor but everyday I can smell cigarette smell along the corridor. I had bring this up to the hotel staff but they just keep telling me this cigarette smell was from the smoking floor right below us, I really couldn’t understand this equation. And once I had to change room because the cigarette smell was coming into my room from the AC ducting as I was told by the reception staff. This is the only set back I experienced during my stay in this hotel which was my first time staying in Pullman.

The breakfast buffet was amazing with the choice and freshly made food items including Indian, Chinese and Malay food. The decor is lovely too with in house restaurants if you can’t be bothered to go out. Its proximity to Pavilion is amazing and very easy to use Conlay or BB MRT…or just call a Grab to the hotel. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. On a couple of occasions when we returned to the room in the evening, the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. We thought the cleaner was a smoker and called the housekeeping team who promptly turned up with air fresheners. The following day we had the same problem and when the housekeeping was cleaning the room next door and held the door open, we realised the smell was from that room perpendicular to ours (in a corner). We told the reception the stench must have come through the AC and given it was supposedly a non smoking floor, it was very annoying. Little was done about this, I guess we just had to wait for that guest to leave but annoying having to suffocate in either cigarette smoke or air fresheners when you’re tired!
