Lock up valuables in the safe!
If it wasn’t for the fact that I found the door to my room open after returning from the rooftop pool area, I would have given a better score. It was most likely housekeeping that had forgot to close and lock the door after cleaning. Luckily I used the inroom safe and nothing else was stolen. Even though I reported it both to the reception and a guy from housekeeping, no one seemed to really care and I never even heard from anyone afterwards. Such things should never happen at a hotel of Mercure standards. Otherwise, the hotel is nice, fresh rooms, ok breakfast, nice but small rooftop, very close to the jetty that brings you out to the islands and Lebuan and further to Brunei.

I bought the brand, we were very dissatisfied. We add the choice because we needed a 2 bedroom unit. We should have just got 2 rooms somewhere else

優点：交通方便，近出島碼頭，附近餐廳多，近夜市 缺點： 早餐選擇少，變化少 泳池今次比上次衛生差，沙灘椅之前（6個月前）有7張，其中三張藍色長椅質素都己經很差，藍色綱布完全下陷，躺下全接解在鐵支，今次首兩天只剩兩張沙椅(藍色)，之後全都搬走，只可躺在地上，感覺很不舒服 房間今次發現很多長頭髮，連床上都發現有，牀單有污漬，朋友房間用完沖涼液都沒有加

Bed was comfy, room seemed abit dated for a new hotel. Hinges of the shower were creaking and lots of dirt under the sink. Hotel had terrible access road as we were driving, and parking was not available and had to park at govt issued parking on the road side. A car next to us had its window smashed in one morning, and I guess that shows the lack of safety without own compound.

The hotel is located in a busy area with lots of dining options. It's steps away from the ferry port which takes you to the surrounding islands. I found the staff less helpful compared to other SE Asian countries, things like not helping with booking tours. Little things like not greeting you when you walk by the front desk, but that really was not an issue, just a noticeable difference from other places. Overall, the hotel is good and i would recommend a stay here.

1. Requested adjoining room was totally ignored (not communicate to from agent to premises). Instead two rooms next to each other was provided with twin beds (not as selected choice earlier) 2. Shower hose was broken for both rooms upon check in. 3. Toilet bowl blocked on 1st day check in. 4. The floor was not vacuum cleanly during house keeping, still found food debris on the floor from previous guest. 5. Cloth hangers are not in good condition. 6. Room is small and no privacy for toilet and bathroom.

All facilities available in one roof. Breakfast was nice, variety of food to choose. Perhaps some area require some restoration. Overall, it was a good stay.

호텔위치가 아주 좋습니다. 방도 3개인데 화장실까지 3개.. 가족단위는 강추입니다. 힐튼으로 옮겼는데.. 여기있을껄하는 후회가 남네요.. 대신 조식은 정말정말 별루예요

Was our first time to Kota Kinabalu and the room we were given was dissappointing as I specifically picked this location to have a sea view, might have been my fault for not reading the rooms correctly but the hotel didnt seem busy so we could have been moved but we were not. The foyer was welcoming but once up onto the floors the presentation here is in need of a refurbishment. Rooms not very sound proof and door do not soft close so the comings and goings of others was very loud at all hours. Pool area was the best view and staff their were extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay again but would make sure to get a better room.

The family room was awesome, the view to the harbor is nice, but: 1.The Wi-fi did not work, 2.they have no hand towels!?! 3.toilet paper finished on first use 4.the internal phone was broken 5.the breakfast was simple and paid apart.

房價便宜，但是仍有許多小缺點的旅館
這間旅館號稱4星級，但是很多細微地方都不是很好，像是房間外面走廊地板上都有很多小垃圾、髒污。 雖然這間旅館也在Gaya街附近，但是走到Gaya街一些有名的餐廳也要10來分鐘。這間旅館雖然離哲思頓碼頭很近，但是附近都是快車道，要走路過去的話，還是得繞路。 優點是房價便宜，房間大小適可，員工還滿友善的。

Other reviews are accurate...very run down. Is not 4 star. Windows didnt open and were filthy but as i looked out over a void into eindows about 3m away, jstvas well! First room and corridor stank of cigarette smoke in a non smoking hotel. Eventually got a new room but staff not at all concerned and didnt believe me as 'no smoking in hotel'! Italian wasnt open. Breakfast not great especially for veggies/vegans. Good they have water filtervtaps and toiletry regills...not so mych the drntal kurs though. Worst thing...no soundproofing. Can hear everything in next room and was woken up by the sound of coughing. Pool was pleasant but rooftop restaurant dreadful.

Great location in city center and great value
We stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great time. The suite had three bedrooms and the service staff cleaned our used plates, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent since it is right beside the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, which greatly facilitates our trips to adjacent islands. And it is very close to the Gaya Sunday Market. The location is unbeatable. The room is clean and spacious.

Average hotel
Hotel is dated and not the cleanest. But the location is pretty good, as many things are within walking distance. I feel like for the price we paid this was fine, but don't come in with high expectations.
