An Affordable Alternative to Expensive Accommodations in Poipu

When you arrive, just park in the driveway between the yellow lines... the car on the far right will be partly on the gravel. The front door is never locked and there will be a welcome note for you taped to the inside door post. Please take it to your room which will be open, keys on the bed..

Lanai Villas is nestled in an area of private homes and is part of the Poipu Kai Resort complex. You will have a key to the pool and Jacuzzi area. And for an hourly price there are 9 tennis courts.

We are just a few minutes walk from the GRAND HYATT HOTEL and many wedding party guests stay with us when the wedding is on the Hyatt property.

All three of our suites are on the ground floor. All have private entrances and locks. We are in an extremely safe area.

Poipu is the South and sunny side of Kauai. WE have three golf courses within one mile and all the beaches are public. The new shops at Kukuiula features many of the brand name stores like Tommy Bahama. with upscale shopping, galleries, and many restaurants and cafes, along with a market and drugstore. The shopping area borders the 18-hole Kiahuna Golf Course and the 4-court Kiahuna Tennis Club. The 5-Star Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa, offering golf, yoga, massage and workout opportunities.

We provide our guests body boards and some snorkel gear free along with lots of beach towels. If you are into adventure, there are scuba shops and outfitters Hawaii near by plus zip lines and atv tours all within a couple miles.

You can park your car in the driveway. We just need to get three cars in so those on the right hand end will have one tire on the gravel.. The front door is never locked so you can arrive anytime after 3:00 p.m. check out is 10:00 a.m.

The host was very welcoming, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear and everything else all provided. The only reason I give 3 stars is we don't believe they (meaning all these types of units) make it clear you are staying in their home. You are renting a space or wing in their occupied home. We have fallen into this before, it appears as a condo or single family unit when in fact you are a guest in someone's house.

Two night stay for a wedding

I was extremely happy with the property not only because it was close to the event I was attending, they also have all the little amenities you might need. I needed an iron and board for my shirt and pants and they had it which made it great. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to experience the tennis court or pool because of how short my trip was, but everything was amazing during my stay. Although the location does not have a/c, it was not needed because the weather was great and during the night it gets very windy.

Clean, quiet, safe neighborhood with beach supplies

Walkable to Shipwreck beach & Hilton amenities. Pool a short walk or drive - to nearby restaurant that is closer to pool. Property had lots of beach supplies to borrow as well as beach towels. Everything we needed for our short visit. Will come again with family.

GOOD FOR A QUICK STAY & CLOSE TO GOLF COURSE

The place was not what I expected at first but it was clean and close to Poipu Golf course which was the reason for our trip. It was a bit confusing upon check in and I couldn't get in touch with the property manager. I did not expect for it to be in a room with other rooms in the house. I assumed it was a separate space but that may be my misunderstanding. Also, it would be A LOT better if there was A/C because I was dying in there. Other than that, the stay was fine and the property managers were nice & helpful.

Short Stay in Poipu

The apartment was small, but room enough for a couple of nights. There is really no kitchen to speak of, just a warming plate and some other efficiency items. It would be very hard to cook in the little space. However, the little kitchen was well appointed. The rest of the apartment had everything we needed. I would suggest barbeque if you want to cook at the apartment. Also note, there were several apartments here and I think we had the smallest. We peeked into one other when the door was open and it was quite large.There was a small miscommunication with the owner, but nothing earth shattering and all was well in the end. The owner is really nice and the property is beautiful with nice outdoor space. The unit is close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We walked around a bit and went to the pool. It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours.I would definitely recommend this unit for a couple of nights, no more than 2 people. I would stay here again.

vacation at Lanai Villas

My daughter and I stayed in the Queen Suite at Lanai Villas. It was small but comfortable and we enjoyed the deck outside the living room/bedroom. The queen size bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. The futon in the small living room was comfortable with the extra foam mattress that was available.The landlord, Cam was responsive to any questions, and very pleasant. We arrived after dark, but as was explained (prior to arrival) by email, the front door was unlocked and instructions and welcome letter was posted inside with directions to our suite, where keys, beach towels, and a box of chocolates awaited us! The overhead fan and screened windows made sleeping comfortable (we were there in February).We used the beach chairs that were available to us, and we chose to drive to the beach - Poipu.I would definitely stay there again.

A challenge for any person needing to use an ADA walker

Close to great beaches

Tiny apartment in an older house. Lack of AC was manageable but needed to pay attention to closing and opening windows and using fans, very convenient for us as was about 5 min walk from the house other family members rented. Lovely network of walking paths in area

Poipu on a budget

The place is sweet, with all you need in terms of amenities. Even a gift of macadamia chocolate nuts. Entry is easy and great location for beaches and restaurants. I loved the outdoor deck for relaxing between activities.

Quick trip to Kauai in between Big Island vacation.

Everything was set up well for what we needed. Communication was great. Slept great both nights. Close to beach and restaurants. Owner had alot of things we could borrow, such as body boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear, small coolers, and many other things. For the price it's pretty hard to complain about anything unless your just a miserable unhappy person. Thanks Cam for an easy and pleasant stay.

On a adoré la terrasse pour prendre les repas et se reposer et d'avoir accès à des chaises de plage, parasol et autres. La cuisine était bien équipée. Beaucoup de recommandations locales. Par contre, l'absence de climatisation nous a surpris, c'est surtout qu'après une journée de randonnée au soleil on aurait préféré pouvoir avoir un appartement frais. Par contre, avec les ventilateurs, la nuit c'était confortable.

Great location

We selected the property as an affordable option for a friends wedding at the Hyatt next door. It was a great spot and only a 5 min walk to the Hyatt to be able to join all the wedding events and shuttles easily. It is also a 5 min walk to the beach. The property is quaint and cozy. Easy checkin and communication. One thing worth noting is the unit does not have air conditioning. I’m sure this is fine most times of the year but was warm when we visited in August. The owner lives upstairs and brought us extra fans

This was an affordable and conveniently located spot on the south shore. It was far from fancy but a great option for those that are planning to spend most of their time out exploring all the natural beauty Kauai has to offer. There was a minor issue with delayed check-in instructions from the host, but it seemed likely that it was a one-off issue. The rest of the communication was great

great stay in Poipu apartment

I stayed at this property for 2 days so that I could attend a wedding at the Hyatt which is a 5-minute walk on the greenbelt. The location was perfect. The apartment was well stocked; bed was comfortable; shower was great. Lots of beach items (chairs, snorkels, fins, boogie boards). Very quiet. Easy check in process. Highly recommend.
