OK bortgjemt hotell
Kun en natt. Svært vanskelig å finne dette hotellet - - det ligger bortgjemt i et forretningsområde som ligger nesten landlig til i storbyen, og det er ELENDIG skilting som kan vise veien -- en må komme fra en spesiell retning for å finne frem etter skiltene. Jeg fant frem ved å stoppe på gata og spørre forbipasserende.

gøy på landet !!
Trivelig, godt hotell. God komfort på rommet. Meget bra koldtbord til frokost.Langt fra sentrum ( ca 2,5 km ) hvis du ikke er glad i spaserturer - eller har bil!!

Hotellet passer dårlig for besøkende uten egen bil.Det er ingen bussforbindelse ned til Kilkenny. Hvis en skal gå ned til byen må man klatre over et gjerde og krysse motorveien, dette tar ca 25 minutter. Området rundt hotellet er preget av industri og parkerinsplasser.

Apart from the house maid not replacing dirty coffee cups and replenishing coffee pods and sugar 1 morning everything was perfect especially the hotel staff.

The rooms and hotel in general were up to date and comfortable. The showers were very nice and the coffee bar in the lobby was very convenient.

Overall, the hotel was clean and the service was good. However, although it was on a 5-7 minute taxi ride, we would prefer to stay in the city center.

Biggest disappointment is there is no air conditioning and that would have been ok if the property description listed that. For the price the room was tiny, bathroom tiny and roof very stuffy- no fan in bathroom so after a shower the entire room was stuffy and window only opens a crack which I understand is code. Overall the our least favorite stay in Ireland.

We got to our hotel early and the staff went above and beyond to get us into our rooms. It was such an amazing experience with a hotel. If I come back to Kilkenny, I would not hesitate to book my stay here. Thank you for being so accommodating!

Did not like how the beds were made, sheets constantly coming off showing the mattress, and the bed was just very uncomfortable. But the town was great and so cute.

Lovely clean hotel
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hoban, we were able to check in early. Our room was very large and clean. Looked very new and modern. Rooms had an espresso machine which was a nice addition. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. Only small criticism was that the room was very hot trying to sleep and the bathroom door was on a chain and kept slamming so could be an issue if you had kids staying.

Family stay
On arrival at reception the staff isssued the incorrect room compared to what I paid and booked. Ot took 3 different trips back and forth to rooms until they eventually got it right. There was a language barrier as English is not their first language. The room has no good AC so thr bathroom steams up and room is stuffy and hot. There was no residence bar. Breakfast was advertised to finish at 1030 however there was little food by 0930 and not replaced. The hotel is located in an industrial area and you need a car or taxi to take you to the city unless you like walking in the rain.

Perfect location, very friendly staff. Very convenient restaurant. We only had one incident on our last day where my husband and daughter had a run in with the front desk, we were guests and had complementary breakfast with our lodging, the server told them that they were with a bud tour that had just left and needed to pay. They should have simply asked to see our room card to solve their problem but we’re instead rude. These are things that a well trained staff could have easily avoided. Otherwise everything was great and I will stay there again. The location is perfect for those who like being close to downtown but don’t want the congestion. Kudos to the lady who checked us in-she was fabulous!

Wouldn’t Stay here Again
Difficult to find even with a GPS. Too far from town. Room very hot, fan didn’t work. Ground floor , diesel vehicle outside window noisy and nauseous smell. Talking loud in the middle of the night. Interrupting our sleep. Restaurant and bar adequate. Staff friendly and did try to help.

Bel hôtel à 15 minutes à pied de la ville. Chambre spacieuse et bien décorée. La meilleure literie de notre séjour de 10 jours en Irlande. Silencieux. J'ai oublié ma veste dans la chambre. Ils me l'ont envoyée rapidement ( 1 semaine) en Suisse pour une somme correcte. Super rapport qualité prix.

Excellent for Business & Family Travellers
Conveniently located and not too far away from Kilkenny town centre. Ideal location if you have a car rented with free parking. Clean and tidy hotel with late bar and restaurant and retail park is not far away. Staff were friendly and efficient with speedy check in and check out.
