šŸŒˆAloha! We welcome you to share our own piece of heaven. Relax on the lanai as you gaze at the ocean, maybe spotting whales breaching during whale season. Or walk to Kamaole Beach III, a life-guarded beach and prime spot for swimming, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, diving, whale watching, and some of the best sunsets Maui can offer. Plenty of trails along the beach or South Kihei Road allow for miles of walking or jogging.

Our condo sits atop Building 8 of the Kamaole Sands Resort, a premier condo complex in South Kihei, adjacent to Wailea. Offering guests a large central pool, 2 hot tubs, a children's pool, tennis courts, an exercise room, grills, table tennis and foosball. The resort also offers Hula dancing and weekly "Turtle Talks", among other plentiful activities.

The condo has 2 bedrooms and a new Queen sleeper sofa in the living area. This means we comfortably sleep 5-6 guests. The AC units keep the condo comfortable and cool. And while the Maui restaurants and cuisine are all top notch, we have a kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and all you would need to prepare your own delicacies. With plenty of beach gear in the closet on the lanai, we have prepared our condo to be well equipped for an amazing vacation experience. We self-manage our condo for our guests, and take pride in providing amazing a personalized vacation experience you may not find with professionally managed units.

Owners Note:
Parking is free and included. The condo rental includes one designated parking slot adjacent to the building, just at the base of the elevators.
We pay our own HOA fees and do not charge administrative fees for condo rental -- only our nightly fee and our cleaning fee (which goes to our housekeeper at the end of your stay).

The Kamaole Sands resort DOES charge a Resort fee upon check-in. The resort fee is a one time $71 fee/stay for your family or group. This fee is not per night or per person. This fee is to assist with the maintenance and use of the tennis courts, pool, fitness room, as well as caretaking of the resort grounds and the weekly resort activities available to guests. Mahalo!

Great location!

We stayed here with our 2 kids, my mom and sister. It was a lovely time! The condo unit was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay and the beds were very comfortable. Kamaole Sands is also a great location (our kids loved the pool and the programs they had there) and the view from this unit was beautiful! Great Little Condo

My wife and I and our two grown kids (ages 18 and 26) stayed for 8 nights. The location was great being right next to decent public beaches and snorkeling. The island got a fair amount of rain while we were there and it was nice to come back to a drier area that is not as ritzy as Wailea. The condo was nicely stocked with some food basics and beach gear (but we brought most of our own). The resort was nice and offered some nice amenities and felt secure. Our only small complaint was that the Lanai overlooked 2 thoroughfares to other condo complexes but this was probably better than facing the pool area. I loved that is was a top floor with a view of the ocean and on the end of the building so we only had neighbors on one side. The hosts were great and offered some good suggestions for things to do. Good communication throughout the process.

Family trip to Maui

We had an amazing time, the location was perfect to get to the beach easily and to local shops. Information and amenities were as stated, we had everything needed to be comfortable. We loved the two bedroom loft, it was very spacious for our family of 4. We highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great Family Condo

This was a great vacation spot for a family of 4 with two teens. The location was very close to the beach and condo included beach chairs and towels. Everything was very clean and ample supplies to help with small meals. Washer/dryer in condo was very helpful. Air conditioning was good as the loft bedroom would have been very warm without it. We would highly recommend this location!

Family vacation

Our family of five stayed for about six days in July. We had a great time and enjoyed the location of the condo and walked to the beach nearly every day. The setup of the condo was great for us -kiddos used the guest room and we used the loft. One of our kids tried to use the pull out couch one night but the mattress was squeaky. The beach toys and towels were much appreciated! The shower on the main floor was either very hot or very cold -saw that this was a comment on another review from June. We all ended up using bathroom upstairs so it was fine. We had an enjoyable stay and the condo was a good fit for us!

home base for family of 5

We stayed at this condo in mid-June with our 3 sons aged 14, 18 and 20. Two boys had their own twin beds and one used the pullout couch which was squeaky. The location was great making it a good base for our Maui vacation. We had everything that we needed and were comfortable. We cooked breakfast everyday ate out for other meals. The water in the downstairs shower was very hot and could not be adjusted. There was also a $70 fee that we had to pay to the property management on check in that is not disclosed in the listing - we were informed a couple of weeks before our stay. I thought this should have been included. Apparently, it's for parking, pool and fitness center. We didn't use the pool or fitness center as they were only open during prime beach time. But overall we were very happy with the condo.

Beautiful condo and great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai looking at the ocean, and loved how close it was to the beach. We appreciated being able to walk downtown to a variety of shops and restaurants. We didnā€™t take advantage of the pool as much as we could have, but when there is a beach so close by, we chose to go there. The condo was clean and had all of the amenities. The beach umbrella looked like it was broken so we didnā€™t try it, but it was nice to have beach chairs and one boogie board. We had such a fabulous time and we would definitely return to this property!

Kamaole Sands 2 Bedroom Penthouse

We loved our stay at Kamaole Sands. We have two teenagers (a boy and a girl) and they don't like sharing a bed. This was one of the only properties we found that had two twin beds instead of a sofa bed. The couch was also a sleeper sofa, which was so nice to have a secondary option. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and watching whales jump out of the water. The beach across the street is so great and perfect for snorkeling. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is fantastic. This is the perfect place for families to stay. It is also great to have a washing machine to clean all the towels and swimsuits at the end of the day. They have beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. Our only complaint is that the beach umbrella was already broken when we tried to use it, but that was a minor detail. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful condo!

Home away from home in beautiful location

Cozy apartment with loft gave us all lot of space to relax and enjoy our vacation. Property is exactly as described on VRBO site. Property grounds are beautifully maintained and picturesque. Property is walking distance from beach, park and great restaurants. Our host was easily accessible and provide us detailed instructions on check in, check out and everything else needed for our stay.

Just perfect for us!

Thank you so much! This condo was perfect for us! It was right across the street from wonderful beaches and within walking distance to casual places to eat. The grounds, pool, hot tubs, and gym were very nicely kept up. The unit was exactly as described. The owners have beach chairs, beach towels, fins that are available to use. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Having a washer and dryer was great, too. The unit is at the end of the building so no one is walking by the door and second bedroom; very quiet! It is not new complex but clean and very well kept up!

Awesome, donā€™t hesitate!

Overall a very nice place. Had an issue with some overhead lights and it was taken care of immediately. Very walkable to dining and the beach is across the street. Sunsets from the balcony or walk to the beach . We slso saw whales from the balcony but if you want nt a closer view go on a tour .šŸŒŗšŸŒŠšŸŒ…

Wonderful stay

Thank you, Melissa and Brian, for a wonderful stay! The condo is beautiful and very clean, pictures are exactly accurate. There are ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms and the living room, as well as an excellent AC system. We mostly used the fans though, and the condo was kept pretty cool. The beds and couch are extremely comfortable, and the ocean view from the lanai was beautiful. The supplied beach towels and beach bag were super useful! There was toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, handsoap in the bathrooms, and dish soap in the kitchen, and even laundry detergent for the washing machine. The location was unbelievable, as Kamaole III Beach Park was right across the street from the complex, and we were able to walk right down there for an absolutely breathtaking sunset! Also very close to snorkel equipment rental places, Foodland grocery store, and various eateries. Before we arrived, Melissa and Brian sent us a very informative message on how to get into the complex, necessary codes for the condo and complex, and other general info about the condo and registration so we'd feel more prepared and informed. When we arrived at the condo, the second sink in the kitchen was not draining, and the housekeeper told us that someone would be coming to fix it, but no one ever came. The water was shut off in the condo for about 2 hours one day during our stay, although Melissa and Brian did send us a message informing us about it. The light of the lanai went out in the middle of our week, and we were visited by a bee on the lanai during the day twice during our stay. There are 2 bathrooms in the condo, which is extremely convenient, however, both showers cannot be run at the same time as the water runs cold. Steaming hot water when the showers are run one at a time. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to this condo in the future. Thank you, Melissa and Brian!

Great Views

Great walking distance to the beach, harbor, the town to eat. You can see the sunrise and sunset from the lanai. Griffin', chilling by the pool, or foos ball. Snorkeling all day and watching turtles. New AC in the unit was ideal and much appreciated. They had all the supplies. Just hit up Costco and it was like being at home, but HAWAII. Thank you

Great Family Vaca

Property was exactly as described. It was great to have separate AC units in each bedroom, everyone slept well. Kamaole Sands is a great location, we have been to Maui a few times and keep coming back to this complex as we love the location. The owners are very responsive and provide many extras in the unit to ensure you have a great vacation. All-around a wonderful experience - just wish we could have stayed longer.

Awesome stay!

This place was awesome for our family. The location was perfect, right across the street from a really nice beach. The condo was in a complex that was nice, quiet, with amenities/pool. We would definitely return here.

Great place, friendly and helpful owners

Property was exactly as described and the new air conditioning worked great. Kamaole Sands is located directly across the street from Kam 3 Beach so the location can't be beat. The owners also offered suggestions on local restaurants that were spot on (Nalu's, Three's, etc.). My son loved the included beach buckets and shovels and my mom appreciated having a beach umbrella. All-around a wonderful experience.
