Great location! Terrible service, terrible check in, terrible security guards acting like police officers and being aggressive and offensive. I am so sad this place has potential.

Thank you for staying with us at the Makena Surf. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy the check-in experience at our Wailea stand-alone guest services office. We often receive compliments on this service, which is rare for a vacation rental accommodation. We will share your comments regarding the security guards with management, but we hope you felt safe while vacationing with us on Maui.

管理が？？
マケナサーフには何度も滞在しており大好きなコンドミニアムです。リッチ、景色、全て大好きなのですが、今回は残念なことがいくつかありました。到着日にリビングに靴下が一足おちていました。床を掃除していたら絶対にわかるはずです。メモを書いて置いておいたら翌日は無くなっていましたが、、7泊の内の1日お掃除がされていなかったので電話したら既に掃除済みですといわれました。タオルも無くなっていたので来ていただきました。元々シャトルサービスがあることを知っていたし以前に利用もしていましたが、チェックイン時に案内がなかったです。テキストサービスを始めたと説明されたのでシャトルサービスの電話番号をショートメールで問い合わせしましたが結局返事がきませんでした。細かいことですが、食洗機の洗剤、キッチンタオルなど毎回メモを置かないと補充されませんでした。管理がかわったのでしょうか？ちょっと残念でした。

First visit to Maui and Makena Surf was an excellent choice. The quality of the condominium and property were top notch. Destinations staff was extremely helpful with all requests and inquiries. When we return it will be at Makena Surf.

This is an amazing property and very well managed. We hsd a wonderful 10 days with no worries about our accommodations and the amenities. The only slight issue we had was that the listing had 1bed/2beds and there was actually 1bed/1/bed. Since my son and daughter were sharing that room, the management companydelivered a roll away and that worked fine.

Mahalo Danna! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Additionally, we are sorry about the confusion with the bedding. Although most of our residences at Makena Surf have two twins in the second bedroom, as you discovered there are a few that do not have this setup. Since all of our residences are individually owned, the layout can change from one to the next, and therefore we unfortunately can't guarantee specific bedding when you book by category rather than a specific unit. We recognize your frustration and have updated the listing details to clear up some of the confusion, but we're happy we were able to alleviate the problem right away with the roll away. This was our 3rd stay on this property. Love the location, ocean view with easy access to beach and nice pools. Condos are in very good condition. Although close to road, quiet and relaxing.

2 bedroom beachfront condo with amazing view!
The condo was old but well maintained. The bedroom & bathrooms could use a face lift but the location and view were unbeatable! The property grounds are also well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The staff was friendly and daily cleaning service is provided.

Our stay at this apartment was great. The apartment is spacious and has amazing views. A great beach is within a one minute walk. And we got to swim with the turtles!!! I will strongly recommend this location and this community.

Omg. Nothing short of Amazing! The staff is so friendly, communicative, and helpful. The views are stunning and breathtaking. The condo could not have been more perfect. We had a two bedroom ocean front condo. The washer/dryer is especially convenient. The kitchen was fully stocked. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The fragrant flowering trees and bushes graced our walk to and from the condo. Huge shout out to Rory for his recommendations on activities and food.

Amazing stay. Really terrific spot. No room has a bad view of the ocean and some are great. Highly desirable area in Maui. Great for snorkeling right off the beach. Highly recommend.

Makena Surf is outstanding! They had everything we needed and the view and location were incredible. It was quiet and comfortable. The beach was not crowded at all and there were lots of turtles in the crystal clear water. Great snorkeling! Housekeeping did a spectacular job as well! If we are fortunate enough to be able to return to Maui someday we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful beach view condo.
This was a nice surprise! Large, comfortable, clean condo opening right onto a grassy area before the beach. View was beautiful and there is a large beach. It was a well furnished condo and had several walking areas and showers to rinse the sand off. A great choice!

How could you not love staying here.
If south Maui is your destination and your not looking for a high end resort hotel with all the crowds of people then this is the answer. Oceanfront view with a beach just steps away. Swim to a destination for snorkel tours and just take in all the beauty.

The location is great. The unit we stayed in was awful. It is in serious need of repair and updating. While the daily room service staff was very cheerful, the room was not cleaned very well. It should have been vacuumed and wiped down every day. We were in E105 and it is not even close to what we stayed in before. It smelled when we arrived, and there was still hair on the bathroom floor from the previous renter.

Great location for a great vacation
This is our 5th time staying at Makena Surf and, like our previous visit, we were not disappointed. Our unit (302B) was clean and comfortable with a great view of the beach and ocean. Although the unit was clean and well maintain, you could tell it was getting a little worn around the edges (carpet needed to be replaced, unit could use a fresh coat of paint). Outside of this, I would have given an overall rating of 5. However, this was all pretty minor. We like the residential feel (i.e. ability to cook our own meals, sit on our private lanai and read, etc.).

Check in process could be streamlined. You have to pick up the keys at a different location than the resort which is a bit of a hassle. Unit was fantastic with great view of the beach.The resort is very quiet and feels secluded. Overall a great experience

ワイレアの中心部からはかなり離れているので、夜間に到着した我々はずいぶん迷いました・・。部屋はやや古さはありますが、テラスからは海とモロキニ島が見渡せ、夕日もとてもきれいに見えました。全体に静かで落ち着いたよいヴィラです。

Vacation in Paradise
We stayed at Makena Surf in unit 204A and the condo exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect the view was like a post card. The unit is fully equipped right down to the beach towels. We had a couple of minor issues when the with ac stopped working and the propane tank running empty however the maintenance staff quickly resolved the problems. The cleaning staff did a great job as well. I have stayed at the Ritz and the Fairmont in the past and prefer the Makena Surf hands down. I will be definitely be back.

We looked out onto the small beach
Makena Surf is a great place to stay and relax. We looked out onto the small beach, and it was less than 5 minutes to walk to. It also had better snorkeling than my trip out to Molokini crater. We saw around 20+ sea turtles who swim right next to you and countless fish. Tip: Makena Surf is about 4 miles from the nearest grocery store ( gourmet market) and 9 miles to a Safeway. But each place has a nice kitchen so buy groceries and lessen your restaurant visit. Also get a rental car.

Perfect location!!
Private, secluded beach with best snorkeling and then 4 miles to Big Beach, our personal favorite beach on Maui! 15 mins to Kehei and the touristy bunch of restaurants and activities. So best of both worlds for our family that likes our own space and privacy and doesn't like being packed in with everyone else. Location, location, location needs were all met!

Location is great. Fantastic view, right in beach. Our unit upon arrival was not clean. Carpet and seat cushions were filthy and major stains. Mgmt took care of next day, had full carpet clean and all cushions cleaned, but why wait till after we are there? Had wet carpet for entire next day.

Great location and accommodations
Stayed 5 nights. The location was perfect on the south side of Maui. A short drive to shopping and restaurants. The beach was amazing with excellent snorkeling. Lots of sea turtles visible from the condo. On my next trip to Maui I will definitely stay here again.
