You’ll be just minutes away from the sought-after restaurants and shopping at Azeka Mall, Kama’ole Shopping Center and The Shops at Wailea. Stock up at local grocery stores on fresh local produce and delicious seafood and meats. Maui is known for its incredible farm-to-table food culture, so you can explore the local dining scene or find some of the freshest ingredients and dine in. Perfect for day trips and island exploration, Luana Ka is centrally located to Kahului, Maui’s West Side, North Shore, and a beautiful drive along the Haleakala Highway to Upcountry Maui.

An ideal spot for preparing family dinners together, the gorgeous kitchen features custom-built, Shaker-style cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a spacious dining bar to accommodate the whole family.

Enjoy Maui’s spectacular sunsets from the home’s kitchen, living room and lanai, with views of the Pacific Ocean and West Maui Mountains, with Molokai in the distance. The master bedroom opens to the wide lanai, and each bedroom features split air conditioning units, though the Maui sea breezes off the nearby beach help cool the condominium. Brand new Beautyrest Simmons medium firm mattresses were replaced in the master bedroom and downstairs guest room in June 2021, all have bed covers to keep the mattresses clean. This top floor, corner unit features all the modern amenities to make your vacation a relaxing one, including in-unit laundry facilities, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and dishwasher. It also includes basic cable and access to online subscription channels (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon) for cozy nights at home.

The Luana Kai complex features impeccably maintained tropical landscaping, a beautiful community swimming pool, a jacuzzi, sauna, tennis court, shuffleboard court, and an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area with an enclosed gazebo that’s perfect for outdoor dining. Parking is included, unassigned. There is not an elevator.

Wonderful space! We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The property was wonderful with a very nice pool and hot tub area. We saw several guests use the grills throughout our stay. It is a very short stroll past the pool, across a small park area, to a very nice beach. Very quiet and peaceful, this was a great location for touring the entire island.

Summer trip

Our family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful 3b/3b condo, in Kihei! We loved the property, the pool, beach, and tennis courts! All the nearby restaurants were great, as well. The view from the patio was beautiful! We really enjoyed our time there!

Paradise

My husband and I brought our 2 adult children ages 20 & 22 to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation before she goes on to grad school. It was a perfect week with weather, activities and dining. We loved the location of the condo and how close to beach it was. We enjoyed walking down in the evening and hearing the waves. Pool and hot tub nice after a long day of hiking. People were friendly and very informative on things to do and places to eat. We will be back for our 4th visit to Maui!

Excellent Family Choice in Kihei!

This was our second time staying at Luana Kai and we love this property! We love Kihei and find the location perfect for setting out to explore different parts of the island daily. This unit was perfect for our group of 6, though previous reviews are spot on about the lanai and the A/C. The furnishings on the patio could definitely be upgraded. They are both worn and uncomfortable. The A/C unit is loud and blows hot air so that it's uncomfortable for most to sit too close to it. Unfortunately, the unit requires A/C to really cool down so just turning it off isn't necessarily an option. The property manager was excellent. All information and communication provided timely. It was exactly as advertised and you can't beat the location, the quiet and peacefulness of the property, the beach access and a decent pool! Great, especially if you're out and about exploring all the island has to offer!

Amazing condo with ideal location

Our family of 5 stayed for 12 nights. Pictures match exactly reality. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Location is ideal within Kihei but also within the condo complex. We can sit on our Lanai and see the pool and the ocean. Kids could go to the pool on their own and you can keep an eye on them while enjoying the view of the ocean. Communication with the on island rep was excellent. Anything we needed they were able to help us with. We will stay here again!!

First Time Maui

Very pleasant stay. The location is very nice. Nice and clean pool, ocean view and you can walk to the beach. Kihei is near to the airport and there is everything around you need. The medial hype concerning road to Hana is copletely not understandable for me. To much time for less Entertainment

True to the reviews! great place

Great place as advertised with views, spacious lanai and bedrooms with plenty of space for the 6 of us. Location great with ability to have a view and walk out to the ocean (which is why we stayed on that side of the main road). We had an issue with the dryer which was brand new so not their fault and they were quick to try and respond and when it wouldn't work, gave us an appliance credit which was much appreciated. Loved the layout and would recommend updating the peninsula stools which are hard to sit on (and we put small pillows so not a biggee) and would also recommend (as another reviewer commented) a cleaning of the couch and/or cover. Otherwise, super place and would rent again.

Excellent Location with Lots of Room and Accommodations

We loved Launa Kai! This condo was in a great location. Our family used the pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and grills several nights while we watched the sunset over the water. Absolutely stunning. The folks are very friendly, we were even serenaded one night by a really lovely woman playing Hawaiian style music. The condo itself had everything we needed. Beach Towels, bath towels, a few beach chairs and umbrellas. We were sure to use the pineapple cutter when we made Hawaiian burgers on the grill. It’s a short walk to the ocean from the condo. we saw turtles riding the waves in the evening. All three bedrooms had working AC and ceiling fans. We Highly recommend this rental.

Didn't want to leave

Overall the property was as advertised. It was very windy which is typical in the area but I'm not sure if it was exacerbated by the layout of the buildings - just something to be aware of. Made it hard to sit on the lanai at times. The main living area was hot but if we left the sliding door open I found it brought dirt (when I wiped the counter the paper towel was brown) but again conditions are very dry so not totally unexpected. The master bedroom didn't get very cool but cool enough to sleep. As someone previously noted, it is BRIGHT in the morning and the birds are LOUD. Not a deal breaker - you're in Hawaii! but I did bring eye covering which helped. My kids couldn't get enough of the pool! We used the grill there one night. The whole complex is very nice and well kept. We were there 8/6 - 8/24. (Fires 8/8) Prior to the fires I reached out to our home host and she was super responsive. i.e.- small plumbing issue, she had someone there within the hour. After the fires I didn't want to contact anyone about minor inconveniences. Overall our stay was lovely and we'd stay here again.

Nice view but needs updated patio furniture

This property had an amazing view but also had a few issues. The patio furniture was so uncomfortable and outdated and the AC unit blows hot air on you as you try to enjoy the view. So the patio didn't get used because of the furniture and the AC unit blowing hot air on you. Even though the AC unit ran nonstop the unit never cooled down and nights were a little uncomfortable trying to sleep. They did have fans in each room and that helped a little. There was also ants in the master bath and upstairs bath. Beware this unit is a 3rd floor unit that has no elevator and not suited for Seniors with luggage. My parent are in their late 70s and had to wait for us to arrive to carry their luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The couch had some stains that need attention. This unit is in need of upgrades with the outside and inside furniture. The upside to the unit its in close proximity to most of the beaches, Road to Hana, Mt Haleakea, Lahaina and Costco! The pool was nice and there were a few grills by the pool that is shared by other guests. We had to wait for one to open up so make sure you get down there by 4pm to nab a grill. Parking was also tricky. If you got in late most likely your gonna be searching for a parking spot near the entrance. I give this place 3 stars out of 5 stars. If they would just update the furniture and fix the AC unit and the ants then it could be a 4 star place! We made the most of it and didnt spend much time there except to sleep.

Family Memories in Paradise

Lara was so sweet and helpful in answering all our questions before our arrival plus she had a missing can opener delivered to the unit. Our family shared a wonderful week swimming, hot tubbing, snorkeling, hiking, surfing and sightseeing in paradise. So fun - such great memories. We definitely would love to return for more good times staying at this property.

Pros: Great location, spacious, cute, plenty of parking, management responsive, beach gear available Cons: AC was hit-and-miss, needs deep cleaning (dusty, fridge water dispenser had mold), needs fumigation (cockroach crawled in my toiletry container) Sorry, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

great property in peaceful location

Excellent and well appointed property located in a very good complex with nice grounds and pool. very short walk to beach and 15 min walk to shops & restaurants. Location is in a good, peaceful, less "touristy" part of the island but car is definitely required to get around. Only negative is that the 3rd bedroom is really just the loft area with shutters. So noise and light from lounge/dining area is an issue for those sleeping upstairs.

Maui great but will find a different location

Washer broke on 2nd day- so we spent time and money in laundry mat doing laundry-they did compensate us $25/day but that did not seem enough to correct the time we spent not on a beach/hiking. Laundry mats are not open early or late so it was prime time that we were stuck doing laundry. We went 3x to laundry mat. Back slider door would not lock so we used a zip tie to keep closed and make our place somewhat secure. That made the patio space inconvenient to use as we had to go through the main bedroom and if that couple was in their room -patio unusable. Ants/bugs were all over kitchen stove/countertops. Both the upstairs and the main bedroom did not have a way to make it dark so sun up your awake! Main bedroom had TV but other 2 did not. The other couple's preference was to watch TV going to bed but unable. We had a teen in loft that would have liked to spend time in his own space as well. Overall was not a bad experience but was also not a good one either. I would not recommend to stay at this location to anyone else and we will look for other places next time.

Wonderful!

We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The condo is larger than it looks in the online pictures and we had ample space for everyone. My husband and I loved the vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom! Location is great - you can get to the highway quickly and is close to the grocery store. Check-in and check-out were as easy as pie and communication from management was good too. Even though there isn’t an elevator, going up and down stairs was easy enough. Waking up to birdsong is also a bonus!

Exactly as advertised!

Perfect stay for my husband and his parents and brother and sister in law. We loved having our own bathroom and bedroom per couple. The kitchen came well equipped with everything you could possibly need! Pool and hot tub were great everyday plus easy beach access!
