«We had a great stay, property is nicely presented and clean. We only had a couple of issues and they related to how cold it was. The windows are badly rotted and let in lots of cold air, and there is a large gap around the front door which lets in cold air. There are no instructions for the central heating and didnt work out how to get that on until the second day. So we were all cold. But otherwise a fantastic stay.»

«Cottage lovely and warm when we arrived. Could not get our heads around the wood burn. Bed is a touch low and bottom frame and drawers under bed likely to cause serious damage to toes and feet.Was very cosy.»

«The view of the mountains is stunning. The house is comfortable with plenty of space. It is well equipped with a delightful garden. Portinscale is a lovely setting with a very nice cafe and pub.»

«We have recently returned from a 4 night break at Tawny cottage. Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King ...
