«This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all ...

«We spent an enjoyable week at the cottage in mid July. Property is well appointed, comfortable and decorated in a clean modern style with good storage and we had no material issues during our stay or areas requiring improvement. Location is great for northern lakes and much quieter in peak holiday period and sufficiently distant from A66 not to notice traffic noise. Threlkeld village has a good pub. One question to Keswick cottages was quickly answered. We’d consider revisiting next time we ...

«A lovely apartment in a great location, very convenient for central Keswick but also very quiet and has lovely views of the hills around Derwent Water. Also has the added bonus of an allocated parking space, which is very helpful. The apartment kept cool, especially the ground floor, which was great during the recent very hot weather.»

«I've been staying in holiday lets in Keswick for many years and I'm pretty sure that this is the best I've stayed in. Great location in the middle of Keswick, and happily my favourite restaurant in town is on the ground floor of the building! Very well presented with an amazing kitchen and fantastically well-equipped (so many places don't even have one pint glass, let alone 6!). A few days into my stay the latch on the main entrance to the building was loose and likely to fall off soon - I ...

«This property is great value for money. Could do with a little bit of deor makeover in living room , a bit dated (sorry).but this may put people off which is otherwise a great rental. Very comfortable beds, bedrooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. One bedroom at the top of the property has a great view of Latrigg and Skiddaw on your own private balcony with chairs and a table. Great for a coffee on a morning . Massive added bonus is your own parking space at the rear of the property. ...

«We have stayed at Millside Cottage many times before and it's a favourite of ours. Cottage is very homely and well equipped. It was great to see that the shower has been upgraded. One suggestion is that the new Wood burner is not that practical to use as there is no companion set, or at the very minimum an available poker. Having a fire at home, we know that sometimes you really need a poker to "re-adjust" locations of logs within the fire to ensure that they are sat correctly.»
