«Fair warning to all travelers, screen shot the instructions to get into the cottage before you leave Pāhoa as the reception is spotty at best. I had to drive all the way back to Pahoa to get the information onto my phone. Cottage is quaint and small but delivers what was Expected. Clean, ac worked quite well, all the amenities you Would need. Beach across the way is an optional clothing beach so be aware if you have kids lol. «As we were driving a series of long winding roads to this property we said to ourselves, “this place is going to have to be really nice to be worth the drive.” And it was. The nature sounds were amazing. Eating every meal on the lanai was lovely. The kids fought over who got to sleep on the lanai. It’s close to a beautiful black sands clothing-optional beach, and otherwise there’s not much to do out there. «The beach is just across the street and very beautiful. It’s a walk down a cliff side to get to it. It’s a short, safe and worn climb down. This lodging is in a very quiet location. When we wanted to visit the sites the drives took 45-60 minutes away. That wasn’t a big issue but just be aware of that. Also, go grocery shopping before you check in.
