We had to turn on the heat in our room upon entry, there had been below zero temperatures so the room was freezing. Although the thermostat was at 86 degrees, the room never heated up, as the heater was blowing slightly warm air. We went out to dinner and the show we were in town for thinking it may just take some time to heat up. I did let the front desk know of the issue, and they said they would have maintenance look at the heater while we were out. Upon return, the room was still cold. We had to take the blankets off the other queen bed and the extra one from the closet to be warm overnight. I dared not take a shower in the morning as the bathroom was too cold. We chose this hotel because my husband has some anxiety about feeling trapped in, in larger hotels, and this one only had two floors and access to the outside from the room. The extra amenities such as the pool and breakfast made it ideal for us as well. We did not get to enjoy the pool, as we did not want to go back to a cold room in wet bathing suits, but the breakfast was very nice. It was kept very clean and well stocked. Overall, this was a place I would stay again if it weren’t for the freezing room.
