Hitty was an extremely great host! He met us directly at the house and walked us through the place. He gifted us with sweets upon arrival (which were very yummy!) and even offered to fetch us to our destination on our first day. He is quick to respond to messages and provided help promptly when needed. He even helped us reserve seats at a local restaurant since we did not have a local number and didn't speak Japanese.
The place looks better in real life than in photos. Although the place is old, it is extremely clean and has everything you need. Kitchen was small but modern and all you need. The house is split into 2 levels, with the sleeping area being on the 2nd floor. The stairs are steep and might be hard to climb for elderly and kids. It is also hard to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. Regardless, the futons were super comfortable and warm for winter! Hitty even prepared Yukata sets for each of us, along with towels for each day and toothbrush sets. There was also complimentary tea and coffee for us to enjoy throughout our stay.
Super convenient location close to the train station, the bus stops and convenience stores, all of which take only about 5 mins on foot. There are also many restaurants nearby of the Izakaya style where Japanese office workers gather for drinks after work. But the food and drinks were delicious and we enjoyed our visits to the eateries.
Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend for everyone to book this!
