«The room has lovely sea views but the carpet is heavily stained and the decor generally quite tired. The room was also incredibly hot despite being offered a fan by the helpful staff. It is a great hindrance that the windows cannot be opened more than a few inches.
For a hotel of this reputation and in this price range, air conditioning should be incorporated throughout.

«Very run-down hotel in dire need of refurbishment. Mold in bathrooms and very moldy/moist smell in the rooms in general. Random broken items placed around in what could have been a very charming garden. Ants by the pool. Absolutely no soundproofing. Could hear every single word in conversations both in the hallway from inside tooms but also between pool area and rooms. «Really loved it here. It’s a great location, near to St Helier but with easy access to the rest of the island. The gardens are beautiful and we really loved listening to the birds singing in the aviary every morning. The staff were really attentive. The hotel facilities were great, with a nice bar and restaurant. We were travelling with two dogs, who were made welcome in the hotel by Archie, the resident golden retriever. If we go back to Jersey we will definitely stay at this hotel again.»
