This community offers a shared pool and hot tub, and this home is pet friendly w/a neighborhood dog park as well, so your furry friends can enjoy an amazing vacation with you! Only minutes from downtown and awesome hiking trails.
The Space:
If you love the red rocks of southern Utah, Tranquil Desert Lodge boasts incredible views right from the backyard! You might even wake up and see deer grazing in the yard. In the evenings, you'll want to gather around the fire pit, share your favorite moments of the day's journeys and admire the dazzling night skies. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there's plenty of room for up to 10 guests.
Living Area - Two comfortable sofas, TV, fireplace, seating area with two chairs.
Kitchen - Gourmet kitchen, fully stocked, coffee pot, blender, toaster, crock pot, baking dish, muffin tin, cookie sheets, pots, pans, and roasting pan. Kitchen seating for four, dining table with seating for six.
Laundry Room - Full capacity washer & dryer, laundry sink.
Downstairs Guest Bathroom - Full bathroom with shower.
Master Suite - Queen bed, oversized chair, TV, walk-out balcony.
Master Bathroom - Double sink vanity, spacious walk-in shower.
Guest Bedroom 1 - Queen bed, TV, walk-out balcony.
Guest Bathroom 1 - Vanity, tub/shower combination.

You'll also have access to the community pools, spa, gym, hiking trails, BBQ area and game room. If you do bring your dogs, the dog park is right across the street.
This property is a pet-friendly property and does require a $100 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends. Pet Policy: Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home at any time, please understand and respect our policy.
Guest Access:
Keypad lock to open the door. We will send you a private lock code prior to your check-in. NO garage parking, but there is space to park 3 vehicles on the driveway. Please do not park on the side gravel area or anywhere off of the driveway.
Clubhouse and pool hours are 5AM to 11PM. The outdoor pool is closed for the winter from November 1st to the last week in May, weather permitting.
The Neighborhood:
The La Estancia neighborhood is the finest in Kanab. Master-planned, it features a clubhouse with an indoor & seasonal outdoor pool, gym & recreation room.
There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.
Equestrian and biking trails are also available.
Getting Around:
La Estancia is just minutes away from the charming and historic Kanab center, with its award-winning restaurants and shops. Our guests can hike, bike and walk directly to everything the town has to offer. Hwy 89 is less than a mile away providing access to our world-renowned national parks and recreational areas surrounding Kanab.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.
Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.
Other Things to Note:
Cancellations Terms: Please be advised there is a 3% cancellation fee regardless of the cancellation date.
No parties or large gatherings allowed. Please be respectful and quiet as there are full-time neighbors in the surrounding homes. Must be 25 years of age or older to book this home. Please do not turn the thermostat below 70 in the summer and above 72 in the winter. Please take your shoes off and leave them at the door. ****Please put only bagged trash in the trash bin outside - no loose items!**** Community Pool, jacuzzi and gym rules are posted and apply. Please return the key to the key rack in entrance after use. Thank you!
It's important to note that there are VERY strict CC&R's established in the La Estancia neighborhood. For EACH day any of the rules are broken, you will be FINED anywhere from $100 to $500, depending on the rule.
Rules for La Estancia Community:
- There is NO parking on the street whatsoever! You're welcome to park your vehicles in the driveway.
- If you bring ATV’s, they CANNOT be parked in the driveway.
- Absolutely NO parties or events are to be held in any of the houses.
- Tenants may NOT invite outside guests (friends or relatives not staying in the home) to use the common area facilities.
- Please be respectful of the neighbors who live in the community.
Please make sure to put the pool key back in its original place once you are done using it. If you lose the pool key it is a $250 FEE to replace it.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (77 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.
