Escape to Red Mesa Ranch, your peaceful getaway nestled just 10 minutes from town and a and a short drive to Zion, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and endless outdoor adventures. Imagine returning from a day of exploring to unwind on five acres of open space, where stunning panoramic views greet you in every direction.

From sunrise coffee on the porch to sunset gatherings on the patio, Red Mesa Ranch offers the perfect backdrop for connection and relaxation. Picture evenings spent grilling with friends and family, enjoying lawn games, and watching mesmerizing sunsets over the Mesa. As darkness descends, our night skies transform into a stargazer's paradise around the fire pit.

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, there's plenty of space for up to eight guests to relax and recharge after exploring the stunning landscapes around southern Utah. Preparing meals is a breeze in our fully-equipped kitchen, stocked with all the essentials. Evenings are best spent relaxing in the living room, featuring plenty of comfy seating, a warm gas fireplace, and a large flatscreen for your entertainment.

Adventure awaits right outside your door with direct access to hiking, ATV, and horse trails from the property, and the amazing new Tilted Mesa bike and hiking trails are just a mile away! We're less than a quarter-mile from the endless trails of the Johnson Canyon Recreation Area. In addition to the national parks, we're within easy reach of Buckskin Gulch, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Lake Powell, and the vast Kaibab National Forest near the Grand Canyon.

Enjoy the convenience of our large on-site parking area, providing plenty of space for all your vehicles and recreational toys. For guests with horses, we also have equine facilities you can reserve.

Expect a lively greeting from our two playful dogs – they might bark hello, but they are friendly and like to play! We also encourage you to meet our horses and goats, who are always happy to have visitors.

For your peace of mind, we have exterior security cameras in place at the property entrances and along the driveway.

Though we live on the premises, we are mindful of your privacy. We're always happy to connect if you wish, and please don't hesitate to inform us if there's anything we can do to make your stay absolutely fantastic!

Red Mesa Ranch is the perfect location for visiting Bryce, Zion, Antelope Canyon and the Grand Canyon. The home was very clean. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs, coffee and snacks the host provided. The outdoor space was perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. Jim and Julie are fantastic hosts, they are available for any questions but respect your privacy.Looking forward to coming back

Perfect is the only word that fits our overall impression. The property was exactly as described and the hosts could not possibly have been more gracious. It was hard to leave, but grateful this is the property we selected for our visit to Kanab and surrounding areas. The animals on the property were a bonus and such a joy to see.

An incredible home with a gorgeous view

The home was spacious, modern, clean, and well stocked with necessities and amenities. There were wonderful little touches, such as a sign welcoming our family, treats and snacks, and even some homemade soaps from their goats. The owners live in another home on the property and have a few well kept horses, goats and dogs- all wonderful animals. The owners respected our privacy and it was comforting to know they were nearby should a question or need arise. Sitting out on the back patio provided a spectacular view of the unique countryside and made for a relaxing respite at the end of the day. The town of Kanab was about 10 minutes away with good restaurants and the hosts provided a great book of local sites to visit in addition to the convenient location to the more well-known Zion, Bryce, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon and much more.

Simply amazing!

We enjoyed three wonderful nights at the Red Mesa Ranch. The house and property were exactly as described and even better in person! The house was immaculate, offered incredible views and plenty of space for the four of us. It allowed us to venture out to the National Parks, Peek-a-Boo Canyon, & Antelope Canyon easily. Kanab was a short drive to town. The horses, goats, and dogs on property made it even more special! We wished we would have stayed longer! We hope to visit again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The property was immaculate and Julie and Jim were the most incredible hosts! They went out of their way to make us feel SO welcome! From the welcome sign on the door with our name, to a tray of extra treats. The small details and their thoughtfulness made a big difference! We loved every second of our stay at their place! One more thing….I always look at VRBO reviews to see if there are comments about how comfortable the bed is….it was perfection!

Perfect location for national parks!!

We had the most incredible vacation! Julie and Jim were extremely accommodating! My kids absolutely loved the animals on the property! We spent multiple days hiking in Zion and Bryce. We also visited the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Horse Shoe bend, kayaked on Lake Powell and saw the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The location of this property was perfect to acess all of these natural, beautiful areas!

Fabulous family vacation

Nicest house we’ve ever rented

Sometimes these places come across great in photos but are not quite as pristine in person. not so with this home. It was gorgeous! Every detail is thought out to perfection and every need anticipated. Very clean. We stayed over Christmas and Julie had the place decorated so nicely which our kids loved. Comfortable beds. We loved the animals and visiting with the owners. We visited Grand Canyon, Bruce canyon, and Zion during our visit and also took advantage of some local kanab attractions. Loved it and would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Lovely home

We had an unforgettable stay in this beautiful house in Kanab, Utah! Our party of 8 couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It provided all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The highlight for us was the spacious kitchen and living area, which made it easy for our group to come together for meals and quality time. The bedrooms were comfortable, and everyone had their own space. Kanab is a fantastic base for exploring the stunning natural wonders of Utah, and this house was the ideal home away from home during our adventures. We enjoyed hikes in the nearby canyons, starry nights, and the tranquility of the area. The communication with the property owner or manager was excellent, and they were always ready to assist with any questions or requests. We loved their horses, goats and puppies too. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat in Utah. It made our trip truly memorable, and we can't wait to come back!

Perfect views and location

This house exceeds 5 stars. It is immaculately clean and well situated for daytime activities. We easily went to Bryce, Zion, Horseshoe Bend, and North Rim of Grand Canyon. Jim and Julie are wonderful hosts. They do respect your privacy but are happy to visit if you wish. You will feel secluded yet secure knowing the host is close by in case something happens with the house. I found it comforting that the host is near because I knew any problems that may arise would be immediately addressed. With that said, we had no problem whatsoever. I would stay there again without any hesitation. Thanks Jim and Julie. 5++ stars!!

Perfect Location, Property, and Hosts

This place was perfect. Perfect location - Zion, Bryce Canyon, North Rim, and Lake Powell all within an hour to an hour and a half. Kanab has a lot to offer as well. Perfect house and property. Beautiful home with no detail overlooked, on a great lot with awesome views. Horses, dogs, and goats on the ranch that make it feel more like home. Perfect hosts. Julie and Jim were friendly, accommodating, and helpful with recommendations for sights to see in the area. If we ever make it back to Utah we will certainly stay here again.

National Parks checklist

We came to UT for our daughter’s high school graduation trip. There were 7 of us (2 parents and 5 kids ages 15-21). Our stay could not have been more perfect. I was convinced we would miss not having a pool or hot tub but I was wrong. The front porch was perfect for coffee and the sunrise. The back porch was where we played table games. Corn hole was great too! But allllll the touches inside are what made it special. The note and gift for my daughter in honor of her graduation, the snacks and coffee, the shampoos and soaps…. The house was immaculate and the beds were comfy. My son played Xbox without one complaint about the WiFi! It was the perfect location for trips to the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Zion and a few local spots. We loved coffee at Taro in Kanab. The grocery stores are a bit limited but they had what we needed. Couldn’t recommend this house more! Truly was a perfect place to call home base for a week.
