Unit 9 is the lower level of a house. It was very noisy (we could hear talking, and every step the people took above us, and even snoring), but this was mentioned in the unit description, so take note. The floor was very dirty so bring slippers or wear shoes when inside. There was no door on the ice box, so don’t expect to have ice cubes. We had good communication with the hostess, Nicki, before and during our stay, and we were able to get into the unit a half hour early, which was very helpful.
This unit is basic accommodation, but it mostly provided what we needed for our day trips to Abel Tasman. We had easy access to water taxis just a short walk away. There are two cafeteria-style restaurants and a well-stocked small grocery store nearby. The unit had a good shower with lots of pressure and lots of hot water.
I was surprised to see that we had extra charges above the base rate for cleaning and for linen, especially since we had no housekeeping during our four night stay.
Also, there’s a photo of a large outdoor deck, which we never saw. Not sure where that was.
