We had a wonderful stay. Check in was easy and it was all incredibly peaceful. The waves could be heard from every room in the house and we spent a lot of time sitting outside on the lanai. It was nice to have a room with two single beds for our teens and the washer and dryer was an amazing feature. There were all the little amenities we needed to have a great stay for a week. Thank you!

Wonderful Stay at an Amazing Location

We had such a terrific first Big Island experience and this townhome made it even better. It had everything we needed and the location is amazing. Supermarket and restaurants a block away. Beach access within steps. Kahalu’u Beach just up the road with fantastic snorkeling. Property Management was communicative and made everything easy. We'll be back!

Nice place and view.

Nice place and view. On the small side but perfect for small families. Great pool and condo was well equipped. Only thing I could complain about was the parking spot. Bushes made it difficult to get in and out of car and I don't know why they are even there. But overall we enjoyed the condo and would recommend it

Perfect Hawaiian Vacation

This condo is absolutely amazing, a total hidden gem! I thought the view of the ocean was nice from the pictures but in reality it is a million dollar view, I felt like we truly stumbled upon a treasure!!! The condo is clean, cute and nicely updated and taken care of, and of course the view is a million dollar view. The beds are So very comfortable, I am wondering what kind of mattress it is as I’d like to buy one. The property management company was great and easily reachable. This vacation was with my adult daughter and the condo was just the right size:) The beach was great and steps away - we explored the tide pools when the tide was out, it was so much fun, and there was even a hose right next to the front door to hose off the small rocks and sand from the beach. Again, I can’t say how much of a gem this condo is, and the View!!! A million dollar view - it really made our vacation so very special!!!

Clean, Relaxing, Wonderful!! Absolutely Lovely!!

We had a wonderful, fun, and very relaxing time here. The townhouse is just as pictured in the photos - we had everything we needed, and we appreciated the book full of clear instructions for the appliances in the unit, the rules of the property, and places to visit while on the island as well as suggested dining spots. The beds were very, very comfortable. We absolutely loved listening to the sounds of the ocean and waking each morning to see the yellow tangs swimming in the surf from our bedroom window!! Our favorite snorkeling beach is just moments away, and the beach right out back is the best place settle in the sand with your toes in the water and watch the sunset. Communication with the host was great! We would definitely stay here again when we come to the Big Island! It was lovely!! Mahalo nui loa!!!

Perfect family vacation spot

This was exactly the vacation we were hoping for. Right on the water- sleeping to the sound of the waves, meals overlooking the ocean. The place is comfortable and had everything we needed. The shopping center a half mile away has groceries, drug store and good restaurants. (Bianelli’s is great, the Subway was terrible). We even used the urgent care in the shopping center. Nightly sunsets on the beach, an excellent pool in a safe, quiet complex. The rental agency was great to work with, and owners were super kind and helpful. This is the best unit in the whole complex when it comes to location. Under a tree for shade, but one of just a handful of townhouses that open up to the beach.

Great Vacation at the Beach

The condo is like a nice little beach cabin on the water. It is next to a black sands beach with lots of tide pools when the tide is out that are great for watching the tropical fish with out your snorkel gear plus the turtles come in on occasion. We like this area because it is walking distance of snorkeling beaches, parks and a small shopping mall with a grocery store. For us it was the perfect vacation spot.

Great Views, comfortable

My husband and I & 2 teenagers stayed here. Plenty of room and views were amazing. Saw whales everyday. Loved falling asleep to the waves crashing every night. Roofing going on while here but they were very nice and considerate to us and we were forewarned. Not a modern place, few things worn but what do you expect with salt water. Everything you need to have a great stay! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Awesome Views with so many amenities and a great property management company

We stayed at this townhouse from 11/22-11/26 this year. This is a beautiful and compact property. You have direct ocean views plus direct ocean access from the dining room/patio. You also have ocean views from the master bedroom and sleep/wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. The owners have decorated the house very well. All the beds were comfortable, the kitchen has good utensils etc i.e. if someone wants to cook. The complex itself is gorgeous and felt safe and secure. The property management company was amazing, they have an awesome app and all the property access information was customized for us and uploaded on the app 3 out of 5 of us came down with the flu during our stay and the property management company offered us a complementary late checkout. The checkout time was 11 am but they let us checkout at 4 pm and I am very thankful and grateful for that. Thanks, Uma

Worth every penny to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean crashing every night!!!

I would stay at this condo again if I make it back to Kona. Falling asleep every night to the sounds of the ocean crashing was just amazing. Loved it!! That is what I will miss most about this place. The condo was completely adequate and comfortable for us. It was clean, but a tad weathered. Because it is so incredibly close to the ocean, it actually gets spray from the ocean. This spray does corrode the metal fixtures in the house which makes the place look a little under-maintained. But, being that close to the ocean is priceless in my book. The wonderful breeze all day was amazing. At night it was even better! If you are worried about the lack of AC, I can say in our 8 night stay, I only felt hot a couple of times in the evening. It was for a very short time. Also, there are ceiling fans in every room and a floor fan in the living room. They help keep the atmosphere very comfortable. The location is perfect, close to a grocery store and several restaurants. Close to town, but far enough away to be out of the hustle bustle. The gated community it is located in is very nice. Loved everything about this condo except the coffee maker which had a burned up heating cradle. It was so destroyed, it was flaking little metal pieces. And the broken hinge on the washer dryer cabinet door, that was annoying. Please fix those. It would also be nice if you had some washcloths in the kitchen. I tried to buy some disposable cloths, but could not find them in the stores I went to. Otherwise, great place!! I look forward to stay there again if I can get back to Kona!!!

Dated, but perfect for our needs

Great location, literally steps from the ocean. The sound of the waves when going to sleep and waking up was wonderful. Plenty of room for 3 adults.

Island condos

Would have enjoy the condominium more if it was air conditioned. Very hot during the summer months. Love the island style decor. Could use some updates. But comfortable. Very family oriented place!

Tired, Dated and Frustrating

Arrival after a 20 hour flight. Entered the condo early afternoon. The cleaning person later came by to finish cleaning and we asked if we should leave. She said no need. The manager then called and said we entered early, we said we could leave, she said no need. The main bedroom had a comfort mattress where the air volume could be adjusted. In the middle of the night I woke up on a wood surface with a deflated mattress. Granted it was July the 4th but the property manager had no solution except a blow up mattress from Walmart. I clearly stated that was not a solution. Various emails and conversations occurred including threats from both parties. Police advised me not to leave the property without a refund. I put in a complaint to Consumer Affairs. The night of the 5th a regular King size mattress was installed. There is no comfortable place to sit with 4 adults. Most of the bedding was very dated and stained. In the second bedroom one of the twin beds sheets actually had holes in them. We had 25 family members staying in various other units on the same property, all were in better shape than this unit. The only thing positive was the direct oceanfront location and the young lady from the management company who finally handled the resolution in a civil and courteous manner. There was 1 night refunded although 2 nights were disrupted sleep.

Wonderful experience!

My daughter and 18 month old grandson spent a week here. We loved it, the ocean helped everyone sleep well and the location was perfect. The snorkeling next door was great. The condo was organized, clean, had ice chests, snorkeling equipment and beach chairs and the outside dining was like the pictures. Parking was easy and close no long haul for luggage. The pool was kid friendly, the grounds well kept and very quiet. I don't have any complaints, just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a great memory and stress free time.

Beautiful oceanfront home

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this oceanfront home. The kids enjoyed playing and exploring in the tidepools. The clubhouse pool is very kid friendly. Nice shallow area for the kids to play safely. We walked to Kahaluu Beach for some amazing snorkeling. I really loved falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Great stay!

Not super excited about this townhouse. Would not stay there again.

I already shared my experience with Knutson company once after being requested many times in our 4 day stay. I was very satisfied with the location of the townhouse. Not happy with the beds, they were very uncomfortable. The step down from the entrance to the living room was a shock and continured to be an issue of stumbling and falling, especially for myself and my 16 month old grandson. The strong smell from laundry detergent in the towels caused some of us difficulty with our sinuses. My husband and I have spent many times on this island over the last 18 years and this place was a disappointment to me especially for the $$. Sorry to be so negative but that's how I felt.

Great Location with Beautiful Sunsets

We stayed here January 2018. The location is great for day trips north or south, with the best snorkel beach within walking distance. Groceries and restaurants close by and away from the business of the Kona tourist strip. This condo is very well stocked with all you need for a great vacation (boogie boards, umbrellas, coolers, many dishes, towels etc. The pool looked lovely but did not get to it. We will come back.

Nearly Perfect

We stayed in this townhouse for a full week and we would definitely stay again (if we could; it's often booked and we only got it because someone else had just cancelled). We found the place through VRBO and the pictures and reviews made it sound very nice. But, our family (parents and 2 young adults) found it to be even nicer than promised. The furnishings were comfortable but tasteful. The pictures, again, were tasteful and pure Hawaii. The place was closer to the water than we expected and the sound of ocean lulled us to sleep. The beach out front is lava rock so is not great for swimming-- which was fine because nobody was out in front using "our" beach. But, there's a great snorkeling spot walking distance from the condo. The living room is set up so it's easy to play cards and chat but we saw others playing cards at the club area which looked like fun, too (it's located at a pool and tennis club and we brought tennis rackets and played with others). My husband and I would call it perfect but our kids had a minor complaint. The dining area is outside- wonderful- but when we ate late, we had to work with the lights or they attracted bugs (there's a yellow light and candles that work well); if you're anti-bug you might prefer to have your late dinners at the smaller table inside. Be sure to have dinner/drinks at the nearby Sheraton and see the amazing manta rays and also visit the farmers/crafts market on Wednesdays at the Sheraton. Definitely earns 5 Stars!

Great location but a little disappointed with the unit

This unit is in a great location right on the ocean front. The crashing of the waves is intense and so amazing. I was a little disappointed with the unit itself. It was a little dated and tired. The sheets and towels were stained, and some of the utensils were rusty and dishes were dirty. The t.v. did not work. I did let the management company know. He offered to meet with me but in all honesty I didn't want to spend any of my vacation time waiting around to go over these issues. He did come by while we were out to look at my concerns and did what he could to make it better. Unfortunately it was late in the afternoon on the day before we were leaving that someone came by to fix the t.v. as well as someone came by with new towels. This defintely was not enough to ruin my holiday but I just wanted to give a review of my experience.
