«Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with.»

«We had a fantastic stay at your hotel. The staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful with absolutely everything. The reception team was consistently accommodating and helpful—especially Ann. The head chef Naline and his team did a fantastic job; the food served by the hotel kitchen was exquisite. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. «This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked two nights with a Black Friday discount (regular price nearly 200,000 LKR). Problems began even before arrival: early check-in was only allowed from 6 AM with a 40% extra charge, and although I informed them we were 3 guests (2+1), I was told it was completely fine with no extra cost. «We had a wonderful stay at Taj Samudra Colombo. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and welcoming.
A special thank you to Fatima and Indunil, who served us at breakfast, as well as Dewmali and Chandana, for their exceptional service and genuine care. They made us feel more like personal guests than hotel guests, which made our stay truly memorable.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again.»
