Oak Hill Inn is a gem
This was the first time I have stayed in Oak Hill Inn but it won't be my last. My room was charming and quiet, plenty big enough for two though it was just me this time. The last time I stayed in Julian it was at the Julian Hotel and I felt confined and claustrophobic (I had to leave the room to change my mind). No such issues at the Oak Hill Inn. A big plus is that it's just a five minute walk up the hill to reach the heart of Julian. It is a bit tricky getting into the room, as the entrance is at the top of a steep staircase. So, make a few trips to get safely into the room (don't overload yourself). There is a nice looking little pool for the warmer months of the year (much too cold in April). At the end of my trip I neglected to take my pillow, leaving it on the bed. The owners and I have communicated and they will gladly hold it until my next drive into Julian. Good customer service!

Cozy and peaceful
It had everything I needed and was so comfortable. It was a quick walk to Main Street for pie❤️ The host was available and so friendly.

Cute Little Spot Close to Downtown Julian!
Perfect for a couples weekend getaway in Julian! Comfy bed, close to town and just an overall great spot! Loved that they had a little community area with an honor bar so you could grab a soda/water/beer or snack. It was a perfect stay for a long weekend in Julian.

A quick and close retreat from San Diego
I needed a couple of days away but close to San Diego, and this property spoke to me on vrbo. So, I stayed there and really felt refreshed upon my departure. Owners were prompt and attentive when needed but unintrusive. I loved the view and how close and easy it was to walk to the heart of Julian, while still feeling surrounded by nature and quiet.

Amazing Stay Minutes Walk Away
Such a perfect stay at the Oak Hill Inn. It was amazingly clean and perfect size!! With only a few minutes walk away from all the shops and restaurants we will definitely be returning next time we are in Julian :)

Lovely!
Directions and instructions were as easy a Julian apple pie. The room we stayed is was clean and charming with thoughtful touches. The pool are is absolutely magical and relaxing. Laura, her husband, Sally and Lucky (the cats) were amazing hosts! Definitely a gem and look forward to returning.

Convenient
This worked out extremely well. The Oak Hill Inn was wonderful. Very clean, comfortable and walking distance to town. We did not swim in the pool, but we did relax around the pool which was fantastic. We will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Oak Hill Inn, unit 2. Place was great. They offer a cool Tavern room on the property to grab some snacks and drinks while you unwind. Easy walk to all the shops and restaurants on Main St, Julian. Lots of places to visit in and outside of town. The owner offered great suggestions to visit and eat. We enjoyed our trip and would like to thank the owners for the nice accommodations.

Julian Getaway
This is a unique property. Walking distance to town or a quick drive. Each room is unique. I really enjoyed my stay. My room was private, yet the owners were available and responsive if needed. I have no complaints. I would recommend to friends.

Beautiful Property
They've made improvements to the property over the last year that made a small but decisive impact on our stay. The pool was in beautiful condition, the tavern was hands down the most convenient thing I did not expect, and the room had everything I didn't know I forgot. We'll definitely be back and feel inspired to get back sooner because we had such a lovely time.

Absolute delight.
This was a great one-night stay. Very clean room, comfortable bed, easy check in. A minor heating problem was solved quickly. The “tavern” is a wonderful feature - a small room overlooking the pool that offers a well-stocked freezer/refrigerator filled with snacks, juices, spirits, beer and sodas all provided on the honor system. Take what you like and leave a self-assessed payment. What a great concept!! Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Our room was done with vintage furniture- perfect for Julian. The door had a code which was nice so we didn’t have to worry about keys. We were notified that our room was ready ahead of check-in time which we appreciated. The room had everything we needed and we could walk to downtown Julian in just a few minutes.

A cozy room nestled in the hillside
Perfect for a little getaway as a couple- the room was spacious, and the property was beautiful, the buildings are all hand-crafted and completely surrounded by trees. The locations is within walking distance of main street Julian. Mike and Laura are warm and welcoming hosts. We loved our time and will go back!

Perfect location and great property.
The location could not be better! Our stay was very pleasant and the property had everything we needed. The little “pub” was a nice amenity, especially at night since the town shuts down so early. This is a great place to stay in Julian!
