Rocky Ridge Retreat is a cozy, colorful place to call home during your Joshua Tree getaway. Minutes walk from fantastic desert hikes and minutes drive from Downtown Joshua Tree and the National Park entrance. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub after a long day of exploring and a great view of the beautiful starry skies from the backyard fire

This relaxing retreat is a wonderful place for family and friends to take in the fresh desert air and beautiful views.

INSIDE
The open layout living, dining and kitchen area offers the perfect space to enjoy a meal with friends and family. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with comfortable sleeping arrangements for 4 people. Bright and open living space for lounging, game playing and family time.

OUTSIDE
The large backyard offers a few areas to lounge and enjoy a cup of coffee while you watch the sunrise, or enjoy a fire while making life-long memories. The yard has a beautiful outdoor dining area right outside the kitchen with a brand new propane BBQ. Enjoy the hot tub or fire pit as you take in the crisp desert air and beautiful night sky views.

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

• AC
The house is cooled and heated by central AC and heat

• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside wood burning fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. We do have a propane fire pit and that is allowed to be used.

• OUTSIDE
The raw desert land always tends to uncover rusty objects and glass around the yard, please be mindful and wear foot protection. This yard does tend to uncover lots of broken glass in the front and back yard.

• WILD ANIMALS
Be sure to keep an eye out for snakes and scorpions while walking through the desert landscape. They mostly want to leave us alone, but be mindful that you might be walking through their home. If you see a snake or scorpion calmly and quietly walk in the opposite direction.

If you see a rattlesnake, please call management. We ask you kindly to not try to handle it yourself or to hurt the snake. We have a local snake wrangler that will relocate the snake without harm.

• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.

• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
