Beste stranden på Antigua
Carla i resepsjonen tok oss i mot med åpne armer og vi fikk et flott rom. Hotellet bar preg av stengning under covid, men likevel: stranden - med solnedgang - helt fantastisk og service helt topp! Ikke ofte vi bor på all inclusive, men maten var meget bra! Vi kommer tilbake !! Veldig snart!

The stuff was not so accommodating, they seemed bothered when I requested a service not friendly. . I had to request for my room to be changed 4 times before they moved me I spent the 1st night in my room with no ac and mosquitoes in the room. The room are very small and need huge updating the power on the resort was in and out due to them working on the big pool which was closed. The food was not great and they didn’t have mint the few times that they did the mint was not fresh. I will never stay here again. I happened to speak to other guest and they happened to stay there 25 years ago and told me that the curtains in the rooms are still the same.

On the plus side, the beach was nice...white sand, clear and calm blue water. However, from the minute we got there, we have been underwhelmed with the hotel....the main pool which is a beautiful feature (on their website) was under renovations and unavailable, the food options at the main restaurant were limited and not very tasty. The a-la-carte menu at the Pizza Factory was very good, but it was only open and available for reservations (which we were not told/made aware of.....by-the-way speaking with a guest we learned of the reservation requirement) every other day. Hot water in my room was almost non-existent...spoke with front desk, was able to move to another room, however, the AC wasn't cooling the room very much. To add to all this, there are lots of mosquitoes everywhere on this property....in the open hallways, in the rooms, in the main bathroom (off the lobby)...mainly because there are breeding grounds for the mosquitoes (rooftops of sheds/storage rooms just off the rooms, full of leaves that clog the drain holes and allow for stagnant water collecting there).....the entire compound should be sprayed and treated for mosquitoes. I gave this resort a 2 out of 5 stars.....wasn't very impressed overall.

My recent stay at Jolly Beach Antigua was disappointing, and the property is nothing like the pictures. While the picturesque location initially drew me in, the reality of the resort's shortcomings soon became apparent. The frequent power outages were a major inconvenience, disrupting my relaxation with long hours of darkness. Equally frustrating was the intermittent water supply, which seemed to have a mind of its own, leaving me without running water at unexpected times. In today's connected world, the lack of WiFi was a significant drawback, hindering my ability to stay in touch with loved ones and access essential information. The dining experience was also a letdown, with mediocre food quality and cleanliness concerns adding to the disappointment. What's more, the absence of a landline connection for emergencies left me feeling vulnerable, particularly in light of the power outages. While Jolly Beach Antigua has its moments of beauty, the drawbacks significantly impacted my overall experience. Travelers should not come here, also beware of the cancellation policy they have a super strict policy because they know that once people reach the property people will want to leave ASAP.

We enjoyed ourselves. The food and staff were terrific. The beach was clean and there weren't a lot of pan handlers. We would go back to Antigua. Our recommendations ask for a fridge and get the package to have your room cleaned and bed sheets changed. Very humid there sheets get damp. Our only complaint would be the WIFI very week you had to go to the lobby to get good reception.

I liked that the property was nice and big. What i didn't like was that they never sent an email or something letting people know that the big pool was being worked on. Also the rooms had no where to sit only on the bed... and the rooms were small.

Traveled to Antigua for business and out of the property I stayed in the past in the island this was the one in poor condition with small toilets and outdated infrastructure. The bar staff by the pizzeria unfriendly and it felt you bother them when asking for a drink. Reception staff should learn how to smile and be more attentive. Water service interrupted in the morning before check out without notice and not sure for how long . No comment but I would never stay in this property despite the beach is incredible . Stay next door at CocoaBay resort may pay much more but totally different experience .

The beach at this resort is amazing. Thats exactly why I chose it. Coming in to this I knew what to expect and to expect a 3 star hotel. That’s exactly what it is. The staff is great. The beach is great. The pool was very nice. The rooms are extremely outdated, which is not a big deal since we are not in the room a lot. I wish there were a few more restaurant options. Food was average. Tons of mosquitos and flies, not the resorts fault. If you go into this knowing what to expect and what you want out of it, it will be a good trip. I would return.

Poor hospitality. Rude staff. It seems everybody has an attitude and not approachable. During dinner, no one came to ask if I needed a water or a drink. I had to actually ask someone as they were ignoring me and not even looking at my table. Very disappointed.

We really enjoyed our time at Jolly Beach! The buffet, pizza factory (à la carte) and the grill were all great! We never had a bad meal. The standard king room was big enough for the two of us. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the beach/pool area from our balcony. As for the bars, the drinks were strong and service was quick! We loved that we could walk safely off the resort. There’s a really nice supermarket just 5 minutes away. If you’re Canadian, I recommend purchasing alcohol to take home from there since the conversion is more beneficial as compared to duty free in USD. The beach was amazing and it’s truly the highlight of this resort. I never had issues finding a beach chair and it never felt crowded. I will admit that the daytime activities and nighttime entertainment were lacking a little. Perhaps this is due to the fact that not many people were staying at the resort during our stay.

I recently stayed at the Jolly Beach Hotel and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, my room was not ready, but the staff suggested I have lunch while I wait, which wasn't a problem for me. While the staff appeared friendly, I found them to be quite loud when speaking among themselves, often inappropriately and unprofessionally. However, amidst these issues, there was one standout staff member named Delicia, a waitress who provided impeccable service. She was polite and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience—a true asset to the hotel. Additionally, although the concept of offering free Wi-Fi at the hotel is commendable, the reality was quite disappointing. The internet connection was hardly available and highly unreliable throughout my stay. This made it difficult to stay connected and get any work done, which was quite frustrating. One aspect that could use improvement is the lighting around the property. There were several dark spots that could benefit from additional lights to enhance safety and aesthetics. Overall, my stay at Jolly Beach Hotel had its ups and downs. While certain staff members stood out for their exceptional service, there were some concerns with the staff's behavior, unreliable internet connection, and inadequate lighting.

This property definitely needs some TLC. The rooms are ridiculously small, my sister found bed bugs in her room, and the food was not the greatest. With the exception of a few of the workers in the dining hall on one night, the staff was very friendly. The liquor was also fairly cheap, which got a few of us sick, but, I guess you get what you paid for, as the stay was budget friendly. The BEACH is the most AMAZING part of the resort. The pool needs to be cleaned, so I did not get in at all. They also need to upgrade their key system and the in room safes. Overall, besides the bed bugs incident, I would not say that the resort is the WORSE, however, I would give it an okay based on the price that you pay to stay there.

We booked our vacation package through Expedia. When we arrived to our room the bathroom/shower stall was not the cleanest there was hair on the bed sheet, we did not complain. After one night of sleep I woke up with 2 linear insect bites on my upper arm, I chalked it up to mosquito. On our 3 rd. night, my family went to sleep while I was packing for our departure the next day. My daughter was startled by something crawling on her pillow we smashed whatever it was and she went back to sleep. About one hour later I reinspected my side of the bed and guess what I saw coming out for a nighttime feast BEDBUGS, yes bedbugs. We had to change our room that night. The following morning I met with the hotel manager (Mr. Murphy) he promise a room inspection, two free nights and two night free when we return to Antigua (no thank you). This all happened in March 2024, we did not receive any credit. I have made 3 follow-up calls to the hotel and Expedia with no refund nor a response from the hotel manager. Needless to say this was a vacation of loss I had to throw out my costly luggage, travel backpack, books and anything that was close to our bed. Shame on Jolley beach, shame on you hotel manager Mr Murphy for not keeping your word. Do not plan on going in the pools, one of the pools looked like it had moss.

The pool had a stain (no way moss) but it has been since closed since your visit in March, refinished and now freshly reopened.

The food was less than desirable. The property was not the cleanest or well kept. The pools and beach were great.ost if the staff were friendly and helpful. No shuttle and it was 20 minutes to get anywhere… our room’s ac had a leak, very few outlets. The screen door on the slider had holes. The bathroom slider door kept coming off the track so it was open most of the time, not that it provided much privacy. The “manager” was not very helpful. My friends who had a different room had worse problems.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. I give them a 10 out of 10 for that! Property grounds need a little attention but the property is quite spread out. Unless you upgrade, the rooms are very basic… no furniture. We had a room with twin beds. The 2 night tables and small desk top are concrete. Walls and ceilings are white. No bedspread, just a sheet on the bed. There are two blankets in the closet. Very drab room. One small little picture. It’s an old building but if they even painted the rooms with some bright colors and added a few pics it’d be a huge improvement. Wifi available in lobby and areas close to lobby. I was able at times to get it in the room though. If you wanted coffee, you had to get it from the lobby area. No coffee pot in the room. We enjoyed the food and there was a good variety. All in all we enjoyed our stay but would definitely look at upgrading if we were to go back.

I would like to request some sort of refund from this trip. Expedia guarantees the trip I thought. I had to pay almost 300 more because the 1st resort room was terrible. I should not of had to pay to upgrade because they have crappy rooms. The bathroom door fell off, the AC and phone didn't work, the floors were dirty, it smelled like sewer in our room, the screen door had wholes and was falling off wouldn't close. I had a manager come to the room and showed him it all and I was not offered a new room. I had to hound them all day the next day to get any answer and then told I could pay. At that time I just paid because there was no way I was staying in the 1st room all week. I tried to talk with the GM Jon but every time I went I got the run around. I would appreciate someone reaching out to me.

Water went without notice and they didn’t seem to care . Mosquito bites and no support for that except the advice to go buy some insecticides. Toilet door fell off its sliding slot. The front porch door was stuck and required lots of strength to open or close. TV very limited. The entire facility is in need of repair and the Wi-Fi was a huge disappointment. The public toilets were filthy. At these prices not satisfied with stay. Staff were generally helpful and polite and apologetic about the situation. There is much much room for improvement.

The location, view and staff is what makes this a lovely resort. The rooms were nice enough and clean. The food was average but not bad. The only two complaints, which is really nothing were, the bar doesn’t open until 10:30 and on vacation I like my mimosas with breakfast lol and their 3 pool tables are terrible. Other than those silly things it was an amazing trip

The property is super outdated. Furniture is made out of concrete. Tv is horrible quality and sometimes won’t work. Free WiFi is available at the lobby ONLY.

PROS: Cleanliness, safe, All Inclusive, No Kids, peaceful, Food varieties, ammenities, grounds upkeep, layout of property , close shopping, beautiful island,SMILING STAFF,and MOST SUPERB BEACH!!!!!!.........UNBELIEVABLE PICS! CONS: 3 Stressed out Receptionist ( tough job) they all have little patience and show it but understand check in & check out is their only job and don't be asking them anything else!. GREAT TRIP, GREAT VALUE,HIGHLY RECOMEND! note: a little dated, so if you have money to burn Spend it elsewhere ITS A VERY TOP END 3 STAR ....ROOMS CLEAN, AC LEAKED IN FLOOR, SHOWERS TIGHT, NO ELEVATOR (3 FLOORS), THE VACATION IS OUTSIDE THE ROOM!
