I’d give this a 3 but the SHOWER EXPERIENCE is absolutely terrible and the beds weren’t comfortable.
I’m a Choice member and I generally find Choice hotels to be adequate to above average, depending on the brand and location.
I’ve never stayed in a Sleep Inn, so I’m not sure if it’s the brand or just this location.
The room is large, so I’ll give it that, but you really don’t stay in a value hotel to spread out. You stay there to sleep and to shower.
The shower is just terrible. It takes forever to stop being cold, and then at best it is either very warm to almost hot depending on your gauge of temperature. A shower should be hot. The floor was kind of wobbly also which was weird. And finally, the doors don’t go all the way to the bottom. So it drips all over the floor when you’re in the shower and then drips all over the rest of the floor when you get out of the shower.
The beds have some sort of synthetics on them, not sure if it’s the sheets or the comforter or both but it was super, super uncomfortable.
The breakfast area and the room smelt clean, but the halls smelt terrible - like cigarette smoke. They need to replace the carpet.
The staff were friendly which was the main positive. It was one of the least expensive in the area as well.
I’d stay at a Sleep Inn again, just to give the brand a chance, but I’d never stayed at this location again.
