Beautiful Home
Just stayed here for only two days and wish I had made it longer. I have to say the Owners were the absolute BEST. Dee and her husband Mark are always available if needed. Their response is fast and they are very accommodating. I would love to also say how CLEAN the rental is!!! Never have I stayed at a place where I didn't wish I had brought my disinfecting wipes. No need here you will see how clean it is. There is tons of literature in the home for you to view if you are undecided on what to do. Directions are left on how to use the TV, the coffee bar has a choice whether you want to brew a pot of coffee or use a K-cup. syrup for flavoring, and flavored creamers. There are more than enough extra pillows and blankets, a closet full of board games as well as in the table in the living room. There is also a washer and dryer, the bathrooms has plenty of hand soap, body wash, and toilet paper, lol the good kind, the bath towels are nice and fluffy, not the flimsy cheap kind and there was more than enough for the 3 of us. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will be back. Need to spend more time at the beautiful state park nearby. Thank you Dee and Mark!! Anita, Erika, and Julie

3 night stay. Lovely house, thoughtfully furnished and decorated. My own house is 120 yrs old, so it's my style. *Clean! Comfortable. Quiet. In the front bedroom, you hear some morning street traffic. Our kids, 9 and 11, were with us so we made use of Pandora and the board games. Each review varies whether or not you can walk to the town center and how long it takes. Yes, you can walk over the bridge (pedestrian walkway on the left). It took us 20-something minutes each way, not hurrying. I walk double that every day. So if that much walking is inconceivable to you personally, then you might say it's too far. No regrets not staying right in town. It's very pretty and quaint, but little more than the usual touristy shops. Most places to eat are pubs/taverns, but we had a truly excellent meal at Moya, in town. Closer to the house, Union Publick House (also a bar) is a 10 minute walk and the food was very good. Kitchen is well-stocked, but I don't go on vacation to cook/clean. For breakfast nearby, we went to East Mauch Chunk Eatery and Bob's, both good, very friendly. If you google, you won't find many more food choices anyway, either near the house or in the town center. Decent bagel cafe, Perch, a short drive away, too. Dee left us a sample of cookies from 3 Kids Bakery, but they were closed during our stay. FYI, many shops and eateries are closed Tue, Wed. Lehigh Gorge is a short drive away. Many state parks, nature, hiking trails nearby. We enjoyed Beltzville, Hickory Run.

Clean and comfortable stay
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely guesthouse. The property is very clean and just as described. Living room and kitchen are spacious, and the unit is tastefully decorated to feel cozy and welcoming. The guesthouse is located within walking distance of town and a short bike ride to the Glen Onoko access point of the D&L rail trail path. The host was responsive and answered any questions we had. A lovely place to stay!

Perfect !!
I can't say enough good things about this place; it's amazing. It was very clean and there wasn't a thing we needed that wasn't supplied. The beds were beyond comfortable. The house is in a safe environment and we were able to walk into town. The hosts were helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

Delightful home away from home
We were three adult couples, ranging in age from 25 to 65. We all felt comfortable, safe, and happy in the beautiful apartment, and thoroughly enjoyed our active vacation. Easy distance to good restaurants and diners, as well as white water rafting, hiking, and sightseeing. What a comfort to have such a pleasant home base!

Fantastic Family setup
We LOVED this house. Best supplied kitchen ever! We did most of our meals in the house and never came across something we needed that wasn’t there. Our kids (22 and 23 years old) could wander around historic Jim Thorpe at night and checkout the bars and then walk home. Very close to a great grocery store (Jim Thorpe Market). The unit had great layout, space, and privacy as well as wonderful spacious common areas. Beds were really comfortable and I loved the towels. :) We would love to come back! Liz

Holiday cheer weekend
Would absolutely stay here again if we visit Jim Thorpe. The house is just outside the busy area. Close to everything but would drive during the winter months. The house is super cozy has everything you need for a comfortable stay . Dee the host responds very quickly to any questions and provided plenty of suggestions for restaurants and activities. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. Thanks again Dee for providing such a clean and well appointed property to stay.

The house is very clean and quite large inside for a good size family. For the adventure side of Jim Thorpe its a good location and only a mile or so outside the town center.

Quick stay to see family. April 9 - 11
In Jim Thorpe for a short visit. Can't say enough nice things about the guesthouse, so clean and tidy and well appointed. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. Everything was just lovely. Hope to return soon.

Enjoyable Stay
The property has very spacious rooms, particularly the living room and kitchen. Spotless. We had one issue and the owner was extremely responsive and came over within 5 minutes to fix it. Owner offered helpful suggestions on touring the town and making restaurant recommendations. You do need to use a car to get into the center of town.

Ms. Dee and Mark do a wonderful job communicating about the property and area leading up to the stay. The house itself is a gem. The location is fantastic. When you stay here you will see how dedicated the owners are to make sure you are comfortable and welcome. Beautiful, spacious, convenient home
Thank you, Dee, for sharing your beautiful home. It was perfect. There were four of us who came to Jim Thorpe for a weekend to ride the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail and enjoy the restaurants, and your home was the perfect base. It was clean, convenient and comfortable, and the kitchen was so well stocked. Your communications were outstanding. The home isn't right in downtown Jim Thorpe, but across the long bridge, so it's a 20-minute walk to Jim Thorpe and a five-minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Jim Thorpe.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a lot of living space, including a large living room and a good-sized kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the towels were fluffy. There were also several personal touches, including specialty soaps that were unexpected and extra-special. Check in and check out were very easy.

Wonderful stay
Dee provided a wonderful experience! Her place was just as advertised. We appreciated all of the little touches like the nice fluffy towels, shampoo, coffee, fans and sheets. The middle bedroom upstairs was not used. The bed was a little harder and it had a smoke smell in the room. The temperature outside was really hot during our stay & the house was nice and cool. There was plenty of room for parking and we were not too far from the town. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic experience
This was truly our home away from home! Dee was excellent at communication and very welcoming! Beautiful property within close distance to most JT attractions! We were able to walk To the train and take an epic open-air ride! Definitely recommend the glen onoko guesthouse!

The home was spotless and the kitchen was completely stocked with everything you could imagine. Dee was really helpful with great restaurants and fishing spots. Its a bit of a hike to the actual tourist section of Jim Thorpe but doable. Looking forward to coming back.

The Best
The property was wonderful and a short drive to downtown Jim Thorpe. We walked it in 15 minutes which is the time it takes most to pay and park their car. You immediately see the charm in the place and everything you need is there to cook whatever you want. They even called us to see if we wanted to check in early. Hike the Shades of Death trail in Hickory Run. Best trail ever.

Great launching spot
We stayed here as a base for our cycling adventures. Dee was a great communicator and the spot was perfect. Beds were comfy—space was sufficient for our needs. Biggest thrill was finding the waffle maker for our departure morning breakfast!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Having never been to the area, this guesthouse was in the perfect location! Less then a mile away from everything and in a quiet location. Dee was a great host and we were more then happy with what was included. Will definitely be back!

Christmas getaway
Dee was an amazing host and had a lovely Christmas tree and house decorations throughout the house. The home was super cozy and comfortable. The weather was lousy but being confined indoors made it not matter! We created fond memories of a Christmas in a year of troubled times.

Very nice and lots of room! Very close to downtow. Over yhe bridge to downtien takes 2 minutes but nearby union station tavern is great food as well. Easy checkin and secure key set up.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Dee’s. All of our possible needs were anticipated in this lovely, well-stocked vacation property. All we had to do was relax and enjoy the beautiful autumn surroundings. If you like charming architecture, spacious rooms, luxurious beds and a responsive host who has a knack for attention to details then you will enjoy your stay here. I enjoyed a beautiful and short walk through town and over the bridge to historic Jim Thorpe. A great way to avoid the crush of traffic and very scenic. Ample parking for our three cars. Jim Thorpe is a PA gem and Dee’s place is the perfect spot to enjoy all it has to offer.

Big place close to everything
The back deck/ patio is actually a shared space with the downstairs apartment, only negative is we thought it was a private deck / specifically why I picked the house. Place was spotless when we got there. Also they have all the info you’d ever need about the town. Host was very very accommodating and responsive.

Thanks Joe for the review. I am happy to provide outdoor space to relax and prepare a meal on the BBQ grill. Most of the outdoor space is used for parking. There are two separate areas both the deck and the patio table and chairs. I counted 16 seats outside. I do not police the outdoors, the responsiblity falls on you. That said, etiquette is up to you and describes proper conduct and behavior that is established for everyday life.

Stayed here for a long weekend, and highly recommend this home. It was absolutely sparkling clean, and was well stocked with all the cleaning agents and disinfectants you might want during a pandemic. All the bedrooms were good sized and nicely furnished with comfortable beds, and the rest of the house had plenty of room to sit with or distance from, depending on your preference. Kitchen was nicely stocked and came with thoughtful extras like fresh fruit and coffee and tea. Great outdoor seating areas, also, and centrally located to get to tourist areas and the outdoors. Some great neighborhood restaurants within easy walking distance. Owner is very easy to communicate with and attentive.

Highly recommend!
This property was wonderful and I would highly recommend! We were a group of 4 young women coming from NYC for a weekend away to enjoy some nature & a change of pace. We stayed 2 nights and the property was great. Short drive into town, great to take a quick walk around the neighborhood - always felt safe! Couldn't have asked for a better host - we felt welcome and right at home. Wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the cute outdoor space and kitchen stocked for a home cooked meal!

Thank you Dee! We had a wonderful stay at your guesthouse! It was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family! The house is well appointed, and kitchen was well stocked with all of the necessities! The Glen Onoko guesthouse was a great place to stay for our long weekend in Jim Thorpe. The house was in a convenient location; close to town and all outdoor adventures.
