Fishing Trip
Great place to stay for a short fishing trip. Close to the dam and state park. Very clean and convenient, has everything you need. Owner accessible and responsive. Good boat parking.

A gig weekend at State Dock Marina

Anniversary Vacay
The property was well kept, simple and cozy. Beside sitting right off a main road, everything else was great. It was close to wolf creek dam and other fun little actives like putt putt golf. I was recommend Clifty Creek Inn or even stay myself again.

Winter stay near hatchery creek.
This is my second time staying at the property given its close proximity to Hatchery Creek. Below is a list of my pros and cons of the property. Pros: Communication with the owner/property manger was top notch. Allowed for an early check in. Proximity to Hatchery Creek and the Wolf Creek fish hatchery. Property is clean and maintained. Beds and linens on par with price point. Cons: The towels that are provided are terrible (think sand paper). I actually commented on these towels after my last stay and am sad to report it’s the exact same towels and somehow they are in even worse shape. I knew the towel situation going in and brought my own, but it’s a pretty basic item and better is expected at this price point. Lack of grilling tools or other basic cutlery. The property boasts a grill but nothing to use the grill is provided. Nothing to clean the grill or to use it for cooking, including no plates, bowls, or any cutlery. All basic items expected in a VRBO rental vs staying in a hotel. Outside of those two items, it’s a solid place to stay if trying to fish below the damn and not wanting to make the 50 min drive back to Somerset to a similarly priced Hampton Inn.

Over priced
We travel quite a bit and have stayed in every motel imaginable including Hampton, Holiday Inn, etc. and we’ve never paid as much as we paid here. In fact our Hotels.com average is only about 1/2 what we paid. For that we get a pool, free breakfast, maid service, etc. Clifty Creek offers nothing. The cabin was fairly clean with the exception of the nasty bath mat and the unnerving mouse trap in the corner, but the beds were comfy. The A/C in the wall also leaked and fillled my wife's purse with water but i guess that could happen anywhere. We have stayed in much nicer places for much less. That being said I understand supply & demand. You're going to overpay the closer you get to Lake Cumberland. That's why we paid more than we are accustomed to. We just expected a little nicer place and a little sympathy for the leak. My suggestion is that you look long and hard elsewhere to spend your money.

Was easy to find and inside was very clean, outside trash can how a foul odor caused by someone vomiting which also caused maggots to infest. Owner was very apologetic.

Relaxing birthday stay
This place is great. It’s very clean, welcoming and so cute. Seemed the gps’ pass it up but a store soon after to turn around. We stayed next to 2 young men and never heard a sound. We plan to stay again. Host was fantastic keeping me informed.
