Wishing Well Cabin

Great family space with open areas, 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Sleeps 8 plus a pull out couch for flexibility. Large back porch overlooking the West River Brook. Close to ski areas and Jamaica State Park. Country store a half mile away with groceries, wine, prepared foods, deli and some gifts.
Manchester with its shops and restaurants within 30 minutes. Weston with the Vermont Country store and other shops and restaurants nearby as well.
Come enjoy our country setting on a dirt, town maintained, dead end road right off VT Route 30. The property is next to beautiful meadows and by the river. Relax by the fire pit or dine on the porch overlooking the river. Ski, hunt or hike or see sites like Townshend State Park, Hamilton Falls and the Ball Mountain Dam. Come and relax with your family in our new build cabin close to skiing and Jamaica State Park on the West River Brook. Many restaurants and shopping near by. Thirty minutes to Manchester Center. Tesla power wall installed so power outages never an issue!

Our stay at this VRBO was absolutely exceptional—it truly exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The house was so immaculately stocked with every amenity we could possibly need that all we brought was our own food. Every appliance in the kitchen was top quality, making both cooking and clean-up a breeze. Sharing meals here was a highlight of our trip thanks to the thoughtful touches and organized space.The ambiance throughout the home was warm, inviting, and beautifully curated, creating a sense of comfort and relaxation at every turn. Each bed was incredibly comfortable (we all slept so well!), and the bathrooms were pure luxury—modern, spotless, and carefully appointed with all the essentials.The location itself is a slice of paradise: quiet, private, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Whether we were sipping coffee on the patio or exploring the peaceful surroundings, we were constantly in awe of how picturesque and tranquil everything was.Our hosts were fantastic—responsive, thoughtful, and easy to reach. The home and property was absolutely pristine.The access to get into the property was very simple with no problems. The kitchen was well organized with a keurig or a pot to brew, your choice. Great VT cabin. Great location. Was a fantastic stay at wishing well cabin, new condition, cozy, warm. Very comfortable, super well equipped: washer/dryer, Keurig or drip coffee pots, first aid kit, plenty of towels, soaps. Quick and communicative hosts. Very nice unique touch with eggs, OJ, syrups, pancake mix, bacon at arrival.

Just Perfect

Fantastic stay at Wishing Well Cabin!

We recently enjoyed our repeat stay at this beautiful house by the river and near Stratton, and it was just as exceptional as our previous stay. The location is perfect, offering serene river views and quick access to the slopes. The house is impeccably maintained, with cozy interiors and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Dave and Carol are incredibly accommodating, making us feel right at home. We can't wait for our next visit!

The most relaxing vacation ever!

Dave and Carol are wonderful, thoughtful hosts to a well stocked, supet clean and comfortably decorated home . Off the back deck of the home is a firepit just a short distance from a calming rolling brook which kept 3 children and 5 adult rock hunters occupied for hours! The house is also just a short distance from a small market and a farmstand with a bakery . If you are looking for a peaceful vacation we can't say enough about the Wishing Well and its hosts! Thank you, Dave and Carol 😃

Amazing getaway!

Just as pictured, Wishing Well Cabin is beautiful. Dave and Carol are great hosts, and have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. From the beds, to the linens, to the fully stocked kitchen, the house had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. This is our third time staying at Wishing Well Cabin and we will be back for sure!

Amazing cabin on the river

By far, the cleanest vrbo I've ever rented. This place has everything you need. Right on the river, you can tube down it or walk through a path to a swimming hole. The owners could not have been more helpful - so responsive, but also left us to enjoy our weekend. Super-easy check-in/out. Book this cabin, you will not regret it!

Amazing property

We loved every bit of this property and our stay. Convenient location to restaurants and hiking. The hosts provide the first breakfast of eggs, english muffins, and bacon and oj. Plenty of coffee making options from a Keurig, regular pot and even an espresso maker. Coffee grounds included. This is a well stocked kitchen to be able to bring food and cook. The downstairs bed was very comfortable and right next to the main bathroom. The river is directly out the backdoor and fun to wade in when the water isn’t too high. We would highly recommend this vacation spot.

The cabin is spacious but cozy, clean and had everything we needed, Including stuff to make a wonderful breakfast! Above and beyond. Hosts were fantastic and communication was great. Can’t recommend highly enough. Loved the river and the fire pit. We’ll surely be back!

Beautiful home, amazing river view!

From the beautiful setting - a rushing river just off the rear deck - to the lovely home and hosts that offered basically everything you’d need, this was a great retreat for our family. The owners are great to work with. They have done a great job of setting up the house for guests and are available to help make sure that you have a great vacation. We will definitely stay here again!!

Incredible getaway for a couple, with friends, or family!

Traveled from Dallas/Fort Worth via Boston for a surprise long weekend getaway for my wife's birthday based on our friends' recommendation who stayed there recently. It was even better than expected! The cabin is incredibly clean, well decorated, and stocked with everything you could think of for an awesome home away from home. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area and the drive from Boston wasn't bad at all. Our friends came with us for the weekend and the layout of the cabin worked out really well. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom (one upstairs and one down) and the shared spaces were great - game room and tv upstairs, large dining table, stocked and functional kitchen, and a cosy living room to watch a movie in after a long day! There is a nice deck in the back with a great view of the creek which was pretty high while we were there and made a great addition to the ambience of the place with the noise of the moving water. We would love to stay again and bring our kids next time (they will love the creek area to explore and play in)! The owners are so kind, easy to work with, and responsive. They have really thought of everything to make this an incredible place. We look forward to seeing y'all again! Book this place...you wont be disappointed!

An amazing and quaint stay. Perfection.

An immaculate property inside and out that made us feel at home. We had eggs, bacon, orange juice, coffee, and more waiting for us in the fridge so we could make breakfast in the morning. The owners are beyond welcoming. Can't wait to bring the kids back in the summer and spend more time at the Wishing Well! A new family favorite for us. Can't say enough good things.

Amazing place!

The owners have truly thought of everything you may need to stay here. Like others, I hesitate to boast about it too much, as I want it to be available next time we need a place to stay in the area but frankly, you’d be missing out if you don’t book. It’s beautifully decorated, with thoughtfully sourced items that set a tone and feel of comfort. Spaces and bedrooms are very well thought out and very well appointed. One of the best places we have rented through this site and other sites as well. Owners were so kind, flexible, easy to work with and thoughtful in every way, leaving us food for breakfast and making sure we had morning coffee as well which is a massive plus in our opinion! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay and greeting us with such kindness, generosity, and hospitality. We really can’t wait to get back to the cabin again and enjoy all it and the area has to offer!

Beautiful Property

We loved staying here! The house is very welcoming and cozy. I felt at home as soon as I walked in the door! They had everything we needed and then some! We were able to visit the area when the leaves were changing and the back yard was full of fall colors! It was nice to play yard games and enjoy the scenery!
