I was not able to stay at this hotel and I had to find other accommodations that evening.
- The entire hotel was under construction and the was construction debris in all of the common areas.
- The first room that we were given had a broken lock. The knob that the latch fit over was broken from the door frame. The was a security risk so I asked for another room.
- The second room that we were given was dirty from the previous occupants. The room had not been cleaned and the beds had not been made.
- The third room we were given, the key did not work. This room was located on a floor with damage to the the walls in the hall and with debris scattered on the floor.
At this point, with three failed attempts to check into a habitable room, we abandoned our reservation and drove the 1 1/4 hours (at 1:30 am) to Memphis and checked into the hotel for which we had a 2-night reservation the following day.
Since our experience at the Clarion hotel was so bad, may I ask for a refund?
