3 39th Avenue is a beautiful home! There are so many things about the property that make it an ideal place to enjoy the wonderful Isle of Palms. The house was great for the most part, but at +12k for the week, we didn’t expect anything other than the beautiful, spacious, well stocked place that it was.
The outdoor area was a delight, the buggy to tote our things to the beach, which was a very short walk, was most welcome, and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. The ice machine was a bonus as was having the coffee grinder since we forgot to grind ours at Costco. Overall, the house was all we expected.
However, there are a couple of things that did not meet our expectations - and although the property manager addressed them as soon as he could - there was a level of unexpected inconveniences. The pool filter breaking, while no one’s fault, meant the family couldn’t use the hot tub and while we were able to swim, we did decide if it had gone on longer than it did, we would not be swimming in an unfiltered pool. The next day we couldn’t use the pool nor hot tub until noon, Thursday. Additionally, the a/c unit issue we had where the top two floors were very uncomfortable for two nights made for a couple of very restless nights for the seven of us on those floors. And tonight as I was getting the master tub ready to bathe my toddler grandson, there was no hot water.
