Mountain General is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom getaway that perfectly balances comfort, space, and modern convenience. Whether you’re visiting Yellowstone, fishing at Henry’s Lake, or snowmobiling from Island Park, this cabin offers the ideal home base for every season. Relax in the private hot tub, enjoy a friendly match of foosball or air hockey, or gather by the outdoor fire pit as the sun sets behind the pines.
Inside, the cabin features an open living space with a warm fireplace and smart TVs throughout. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals, including a drip coffee maker, crockpot, blender, rice maker, waffle maker, and air fryer. Additional amenities include a washer and dryer, dishwasher, WiFi, and charging pads in every bedroom.
Located just 40 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance, Mountain General sits close to top local attractions: 25 minutes to Henry’s Lake, 15 minutes to Island Park Reservoir, and 10 minutes to Sam Patch for groceries. The nearest airports include Idaho Falls Regional (1.5 hours), Bozeman Yellowstone International (2 hours), and Jackson Hole Airport (2.25 hours).
Guests will appreciate self check-in and a spacious outdoor area with a propane grill, BBQ pit, seating, fire pit, and large driveway with parking for trucks and trailers.
Sleeping arrangements span multiple levels with king, queen, and bunk bed setups to comfortably host large families or groups.
During winter, 4WD, snow tires, and high clearance are recommended.
Enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country ski trails, ice fishing, hot tubbing, sledding, snowmobiling, Yellowstone snowmobiling, tubing. Mesa Falls is amazing in the winter for snowmobiling, and so is Johnny Sack Cabin.
Well-trained dogs are welcome (no cats). Must be over 18 months and vaccinated. Dogs cannot be left alone unless crated; a crate is provided. $35 per dog, per night. No breeds with bite history due to insurance restrictions. Please message your dog’s age, vaccination status, and breed upon booking.
Please note that we do not provide baby gates and do not allow pressure-mounted gates due to damage to tongue and groove.
NOTE: A government ID is required when signing the rental agreement. The primary renter must be 25 or older and remain on-site throughout the stay.
