Mighty Moose Log Cabin, 20 Minutes to W Yellowstone, Fishing, Sleeps 10.

This is the perfect home-base for your Yellowstone adventure. Super-convenient and easy to find, less than a mile from US Highway 20 on a paved road and within 20 minutes from West Yellowstone.
Private well with safe, reliable water.
Clean, comfortable and fully-equipped, this whole-log cabin has a main floor with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a loft. A newly-remodeled kitchen opens to a large dining and living area, with a toasty propane stove and comfortable sectional couches with recliners.
Upstairs you’ll find a roomy loft, with natural wood railing, a second TV lounge area and three more queen beds. Ceiling fans keep the air moving and huge windows provide lots of natural light and great views.
In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need, including pans, dishes, flatware, electric skillet, crock pot, seasonings, coffee maker and coffee grinder. The large dining table easily seats 6 and the breakfast counter seats two more. For even more seating, extra chairs and a table leaf are stored upstairs.
Both TVs have DVD players and Roku boxes for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Free WiFi internet is provided, and cellular service is good in the area. Check-in is easy – let yourself in at any hour with your personal deadbolt code. Bring your canine family members along for a small additional fee. The driveway is large enough for at least two pickups with trailers and there’s a large public parking area on Highway 20.
This area is packed with outdoor recreation opportunities, including world-class fly fishing, auto touring, renowned snowmobiling, many miles of trails for ATV riding, motorcycling, boating, skiing, hiking, wildlife watching, hunting, and other alpine recreation. After the high-energy fun, dial it back with an open fire under the stars or a barbeque on the deck. Or just relax and hang out in the woods.
In addition to Yellowstone Park and all the local fun, the cabin is close enough for daytrips to Jackson Hole and Teton Park (~ 2.5 hr). Nearby attractions include Upper and Lower Mesa Falls (40 min), Herriman State Park (20 min), Hebgen Lake (40 min), Earthquake Lake (30 min) and much more.

The cabin was wonderful and had everything we needed for our group of 6 to enjoy a fun weekend of snowmobiling. Ample parking and right near the trails made it a great location to enjoy the Island Park area. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for any food prep needs. Everything was clean and functional. We had a great time!

Perfect location for West Yellowstone

This is the perfect location for West Yellowstone as it is truly only 20 minutes away. Cabin is large, charming and comfortable with plenty of kitchen accessories. Wonderful porch and comfy furniture. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a great stay. I still miss the cabin and yellow stone. We didn't have chance to see Moose in yellow stone park. But we saw Mooses around the cabin. The host also sent us another Moose video. You can really see Mooses around Mighty Moose Log Cabin! LOL!And, the host is great! Very good at communication!

Island Park Stay

We were looking for a nice place that allowed pets near Yellowstone. The property was clean and just the right size. We used the washer and dryer daily. It was nice to come back from the park, then sit around the campfire making s’mores. We saw moose right outside of the cabin.

Great place

This cabin is fantastic and location near Yellowstone was perfect. The large open floor plan and comfortable furniture made for a wonderful stay. The loft was excellent for our purposes and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. The kitchen had all that we needed and we used the grill every night. The owners were easy to work with and communication was great.

Just right!

Our group of 6 was very comfortable here. We enjoyed the proximity to West Yellowstone and the park entrance. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. Plenty of space inside to spread out and relax after a long day of travel and exploring the park. Note, you are right next to a highway and have neighbors all around. Don’t expect to see wildlife from this location. But you are promised to see animals in Yellowstone.

Perfect location to Yellowstone

Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Grocery store was located within 4 minutes of cabin and had a good variety of food. Property was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the camp fire each evening. We seen a moose and a fox come through the property. West Yellowstone was a short drive away for supper each night and entrance to the park. The cabin had everything we needed, including bear spray, a hard shell cooler and a collapsable cooler.

Stupendous Stay at the Mighty Moose

RENT THIS PLACE WHEN VISITING YELLOWSTONE NP! We were so comfortable at the Western-decor, modern Mighty Moose Cabin. For our group of 10 (2 seniors, 7 adults, and 1 6-yr old), the accommodation was perfect! It met three most important needs: excellent sleep since the sturdy, rustic-framed queen beds were super comfortable and warm and the environment was quiet during sleeping hours; superbly stocked kitchen (plenty of quality pots, pans, utensils, serving dishes, coffee-makers, stocked pantry for minor needs, and a large frig/freezer with fast-working ice dispenser); and, finally, comfortable spaces for quality family time as well as privacy. We cooked meals all 7 days, including using the BBQ and the outdoor fire pit, and prepared lunches for the daily outings to nearby Yellowstone NP. Even if you don't go into the Park or other places, just being at the cabin is enjoyable: on four of our seven days, we observed moose and fox crossing the aspen-dominated wooded property and we took walks thru the surrounding neighborhood, which is on a slight hill so you can see mountains and valleys around. Everything was very clean and functional and the pictures of the property match reality. Communication with Curtis and family was flawless and very prompt. The only negative of our stay was interruption of pleasant bird chatter by occasional local ATV and truck traffic on the adjacent county road during the day. Despite this minor issue, we would most definitely book this place again!

Fabulous vacation home!

Great location for a Yellowstone vacation. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need. Clean and comfortable. Fire pit was nice for cool evenings. Cabin is dog friendly and even has bowls for the puppers. The second bedroom is a full size mattress, not Queen. The primary bed is comfortable. Host has many extras available such as Bear spray, coolers, fans, games, and saw things if you bring a baby. Neighborhood is quiet. We walked the dogs on the main road and around the block behind and felt completely safe. The area is beautiful and the lake past the house is as well.

Comfortable get a way, whether going out to explore or staying in. And keep your eyes alert. We saw fox, moose and elk right from the living room. We were so happy with this cabin and location.
