«The Summit Inn feels like it was a top of the line hotel 30-40 years ago, and while still decently maintained, it hasn’t had an upgrade since. I’ve stayed there twice now, both during the off season, and it has been cheap and relatively pleasant. The brewery and restaurant across the street are fantastic, perfect for an after-hike refuel. The attached restaurant has classic greasy spoon diner food and huge portions. »

«There is a delapatated, abandoned house on this property that is intentionally left out of photos. There is a narrow, unlevel path from the driveway down to the lakefront site that makes you cross over an ustable "bridge" made of house siding, and some uneven cinderblocks as "steps". You must traverse this to unolad gear and any time you access the honey bucket. The honey bucket is not cleaned before you arrive, but theres a cleaning fee for each day you stay. There are horsetail weeds ...

Even though rooms are on lower (basement) level, it was warm and fan was not enough with European type bedding. Previous reviews had mentioned no air-conditioning. «The cabin was a mixture of efficiency and modern, artsy design. The kitchen area was very well designed and we loved the design of the fridge.
