Good experience
The property was clean, and the bathroom had been remodeled and the mattresses changed since our last stay. Also, I'm pretty sure we left 2 Iowa Chops in the freezer. I think they fell behind the ice bin. Feel free to eat them. We just purchased them on Friday.

Peace at the Cabin
Heidi is a wonderful host. The cabin is as she said on line. Peaceful by the river. Very clean. We saw 7 deer one night right outside our window. We would definitely go again.

We love this cabin
This was our second stay at Cabin Cove. We keep coming back because we love the quaint and comfortable cabin, the lovely and quiet setting along the river, and proximity to family and our favorite places in Iowa Falls. We will return.

Wonderful, quaint cabin
Loved the wildlife, flowers, quilts, Tiffany-style lamps. Provides everything you could need. Wonderful experience! The only negative thing I can think of is there is definitely a damp smell as you walk in the door. However, it still may be my new favorite place.

Relax with Nature
Enjoyed watching the deer, ground squirrels, and geese on the river. The neighborhood was very peaceful. Five minutes to downtown for shopping and restaurants. Well worth the money.

It was actually even nicer than expected. Coffee and condiments in the refrigerator. All paper goods were supplied. Watched deer, birds, and other wildlife through the windows every morning. Just minutes from downtown shopping, good restaurants, historical sites, beautiful walking trails, and beautiful river road drive. I took advantage of all.

Great cabin on the Iowa river.
Loved the picture window that looked out at bird feeders and the river. Every morning we had many different types of bird to watch while we ate breakfast. Loved the glider on the front porch. Lovely decorations in the cabin. All the amenities we needed. Easy drive into town.

Off to college
Was a perfect family setting! We traveled 1400 miles to drop our son off at college. Cottage was a perfect setting to have our family dinners and say goodbye. Will stay here again!!!!!

The cabin is great. Watching the animals was awesome. I want to book the cabin for sometime during the winter. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be with snow on the ground.

Absolutely awesome. Property was exactly what we expected. We asked for certain items to be purchased, everything was above what we expected. We were riding bikes so we could not get groceries or beverages. We highly recommend this property.

Cabin on the edge of town
Good place to stay in Iowa Falls. Nice view of the river from the deck out back. We were able to watch a deer and her fawns from the front porch and other wildlife came up to the birdfeeders. Beds were comfortable.

Great place to get away and get back to nature... simplify
I stayed here for the month of June and had a fantastic stay! The place was comfortable and easy to navigate ... I didn't have to guess where things were. Instructions provided by the host were easy to follow. And they left brochures and recommendations on what to do in and around town. Oddly enough, the Chinese restaurant was excellent! (Not what you expect from a small Iowa town!)

Peaceful and relaxing
We love this cabin with its lovely views of the river and surrounding nature. The cabin is charming and homey and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, the river views, and walking around on the grounds and nearby woods. The host was very responsive to our needs. We will stay here again.

Reconnecting with Iowa and Friends.
I hosted a get together with some friends in Iowa before one was going to get married. We had a great relaxing weekend with the cozy cabin next to the Iowa River. We grilled out went, tubing, and enjoyed experiencing local businesses food and services in town. Such an easy, stress-free set up that we had more time to enjoy the weekend than plan it out.

A few things that didn't work.

Cabin cove review
Overall this was a beautiful setting and the checkin process was very smooth and simple. Our only negative was that the home is musty and an accompanying strong odor. If you mold allergies, this would be a problem for you. Property was clean, neat and vintage with neat history.

So sorry to hear about the musty smell. We have noticed it and we will continue to do our best to remedy that, it is a very old home with original log work that is in a very moist setting. We do our best to combat that while leaving the feel of an old time cabin. Thanks so much for your review and choosing to stay with us!

Unplugged & peaceful
The property is exactly as it's pictured. We were completely unable to access the wi-fi, but it turned out to be a blessing. A lot more opportunity to actually communicate. Great location-close enough to town, yet far enough away for peace & quiet. The cabin had just enough modern touches in the right places. The beds were very comfortable. I look forward to possibly staying again in the future!

Lovely stay along the river!
My husband and I, along with my brother and sister-in-law stayed two nights at Cabin Cove. It was July and HOT. The air conditioning was the first thing we loved, but we quickly appreciated the comfy furnishings, the sweet cabin "feel" and the front porch area as well as the back deck. Beds were nice, bathroom & kitchen had everything we needed. The rental only lacked a grill, so we went to Walmart and purchased one for a very low price. We made it our gift to our hostess, so that future guests (probably us again sometime soon) can use it and enjoy it. Thank you Heidi, for a perfect stay.

Cabin Cove was a delightful experience. Well stocked, very clean, loved all the books on Iowa and surrounding areas. That greatest part was sitting at the table in the morning watching the deer, chipmucks, squirrels, birds, and rabbits walk by or stop at the bird feeder. Only downside was super hard pillows and a "blow torch" of a shower. Would recommend this place to anyone, just bring your own pillow if you're able. Thank you for a delightful 5 night stay.
