«TV's didn't work. changed batteries twice and remote once. thermostat in room all taped up. Staff at front desk was very helpful. brought a blanket and tried to fix remote. fixed the heater. very thin beadspread and no blanket. lots of drug deals going on outside the main lobby. i did not feel secure there.»

«Lets face it, this is in Alaska. The word "posh" probably doesn't exist there. What this hotel do have in spades, is friendliness. I have stayed here more than once and they have literally been driving me anywhere I have needed to go. All of the staff have been super friendly and making it feel real, because they are. «The hotel may have rebranded to the Southeast Resort, but it is an old hotel. The refrigerator shell was broken. The room just looked tired. The elevator was extremely slow. The bathtub wasn't really clean and there was someone else's long hair clinging to the shower curtain, yuck. On the positive side the bed was quite comfortable, and the hotel location is right by downtown and close to tourist areas.»

«Wow! Five stars! Great location, clean rooms, fantastic food and THE friendliest manager and staff. Reasonable prices for Alaska and home grown breakfast included????! My only regret is not sampling the rhubarb grown on site. Thank you!!!»

«The property was old so you could hear people walking up and down the halls and in the room above you. But it was clean and the staff was helpful and the restaurant was very good.»

«The staff was great. We arrived late at night at the airport and our hotel pickup was great. Just called the hotel and they came and got us. The hotel is dated but clean and neat. Lobby staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was initially a disappointment because we were expecting more but the coffee was good and there were lots of energy bars, yogurt, and instant oatmeal packs so… no excuse to be hungry. «Room was excellent. It seemed new or nearly new. Bathroom was very clean. It has a kitchen, which was also very clean. Loved the comfortable mattress, but I like fluffy, pillow top soft mattresses. For a remote place in Alaska, this hotel is probably the cleanest and best I have personally experienced at this price point. Airport shuttle provides free ride. Two-three blocks to tour busses at Harrigan Centennial Hall. Hotel has no restaurant. Highlander coffee shop is updated, clean and modern ...

«The lodge was wonderful and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. We also appreciated the laundry facilities. However, when we first arrived, there two very unfriendly (bordering on rude) employees at the front desk. The person on the desk later was much better.»
