Terrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Due to a snowstorm, we booked five rooms through Expedia. Upon check-in, the rooms were absolutely unacceptable. The door lock was broken, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the TV did not work, and the sheets were dirty.
We immediately went to the front desk to request better rooms. The receptionist apologized and showed us other rooms, but unfortunately, they were all in similarly deplorable condition. Because of this, we requested a cancellation, which the receptionist agreed to. He also stated that Expedia had not yet paid the hotel and that we would need to obtain our refund directly through Expedia.
We then booked another hotel (Embassy Suites) through Expedia, which was wonderful.
However, when we contacted Expedia to process the cancellation, the refund was denied. According to Expedia, the hotel has through the receptionist denied everything, claiming there were no issues with the rooms and that we simply left. As a result, the hotel refused to authorize the refund, and Expedia would not issue one without their approval.
This experience was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. This hotel is TERRIBLE please steer clear.
