Beach House on the North Sea Coast - IJmuiden Small Beach

Would you also like to wake up to the sound of the waves, bask in the sun, and play on the beach? You can do it all in IJmuiden. Our 27-square-meter beach cottage/tiny house is located in the back row of two rows on the small beach in IJmuiden, 50 meters from the sea.

Fully furnished cottage for 4 people (2 adults downstairs in the 160x200 sleeping area and up to 2 children on the lockable 160x200 loft) with a view of the sea and the marina.

Small-scale community with only 130 cottages arranged in just 2 rows. Nice and uncluttered, no neighbors behind you, and yet only 50 meters from the sea.

Sun terrace with a canopy and lounge sofa at the front. Spacious beach garden in the back with a large dining area for 8 people, a beach umbrella, a BBQ, and a SUP board.

Suitable for small children, with a safer section of the sea thanks to a sheet pile wall that prevents dangerous currents.

Private shower and toilet; solar power via batteries/panels. No TV, but Wi-Fi is available. Cooking, heating, and hot water are powered by gas (bottled).

It’s good to know that in a tiny house, everything is efficient and multifunctional, since space is limited. The cottage is also off-grid, with batteries for power and a gas cylinder. Of course, we’ve hooked everything up and set it all up for you, but there’s no dishwasher or TV, so if you’re really into luxury and space, this might not be the cottage for you. If, on the other hand, you’d enjoy going back to basics (and actually, we’ve secretly included quite a bit of luxury with a lovely shower, private toilet, comfortable beds, central heating, and large batteries—so plenty of power), then this might be a great opportunity to stay right by the sea and on the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are definitely magical, and the sound of the surf is soothing.
